Denise Brown speaks about domestic violence, how the murder of her sister Nicole Brown-Simpson changed her life, and her speaking engagement in The Dalles at "An Evening for HAVEN." May 24, 2010.
Thanks for posting this. For me the worst fear came after I got he abused out of my life. The fear can be paralyzing. As terrifying as it was when he was here, in some ways it is well worse with him gone as when he was here, at least I knew where he was, he is mood, etc.. EVERYTHING she says is what I've experienced personally as well as heard from other victims who were my clients.
Denise said "omg he finally did it" after she found out her sister died but then states later "she didn't know abuse was going on". I know she's trying to help victims now and she's doing good work but why the contrasting statements.
'She was not a battered woman" - Denise Brown (New York Times, 1994) She also pocketed her sisters charity money and sold her diary for 100k. Her charity got revoked. Denise brown is a bit fat liar
If you follow the Browns behavior throughout this ordeal, it is mind boggling on how sympathetic to OJ they were. In Der 1994, not 2 months after their daughter's murder, they're already sounding forgiving. I just watched their RU-vid post A Tribute to Nicole, where the posted home movies showing how "happy" OJ and Nicole were, how they were nearly silent and seemingly unwilling participants in the civil trial...it really makes you wonder if they weren't blinded by OJ's celebrity and money, also. It's very disturbing.
Wait what didn't she say when her mother said Nicole got murdered she said oh he finally did it and then she just said she never knew he was violent except for that one time was that a total lie I just caught or what
Exactly.. I picked up on that and.. apparently Denise took some of those polaroids. This is part of why he was acquitted because witnesses lied about things.
Yeah and she said there were many incidents where "I was there" and in another interview Denise said, "Nicole told me, 'OJ's gonna kill me & he'll get away with it'."
5:55 into her talk, she has given a list of the abuses, but forgot to mention sexual abuse. Maybe because she is lucky enough not to have suffered this from her boyfriend/husband, so it didn't come into her mind. Thank you Denise Brown for your work. (Only my opinion, but I wish he'd stop interrupting her. I want to hear HER).
My friend was abused and he took her children and now he is going after her do child support and he won. Now my friend has to pay 1000 a month. Just crazy. I believe that he was abusive to her was scary to her and I’m sure that he killed her sorry. You should’ve just let her go let her live her life she will be here today with her children and who knows what could have happened but it’s no reason for him to have taken her life so sad I’m so sick.
Always 2 sides to a story...someone is certainly lying..Nice may have instigated the confrontations between her and oj...oj was not always at fault...I know that oj started the problem at times, but does anyone believe that he was responsible for everything? Even Nicole's friends stated that she enjoyed " pushing" the juices " buttons"...comptemplate that thought.
@@steelydanlover1972 with all due respect, you have to watch most of these broadcast with an analytical view. Every aspect of these murders being committed by OJ has been debunked. Everything. You can't get on TV without an OJ did it story or commentary. OJ caught Nicole giving her boyfriend head one night when going to her house. She was in the living room and her window's curtains were pulled back so anyone coming to the house could see. Did OJ kill her? No. OJ made a noise at the door and left. He came back the next day, shook the guy's hand and chastised both of them for being irresponsible. On the night of the murders, OJ called Paula Barbiari, Gretchen Stockdale and Tracey Adell. All pin up models. The day after the infamous domestic incident, OJ restructured their prenup, Making sure if he were to ever touch Nicole again, she would get have of his property and money. What has infested the minds of people who watch these interviews and documentaries is this image of OJ being the only person in Brentwood that would do these crimes. As if Nicole and Ron didn't have lives of their own that would make it possible for them to meet dangerous individuals.
My sisters ex husband Was a police officer. When she finally left him, I stood watching her get her clothes and he was watching her. He went to grab my sister. I punched and kicked and slapped the shit out of him. I wouldn’t stand there and let some bastard bash my sister. He backed off then tried to stop us from leaving. He lost his job that night. Useless piece of shit he was. My sister can be a pain in the arse.....but she’s my sister and no one will hit her in front of me. I’d have killed him if he’d not have backed off!
Becka, Nicole would not have listened even if she would've attempted to help her!!! Nic was " hard headed"...she didn't want anybody interfering in her life...we all know that there is 2 sides to every story! I believe that Nic wanted her cake & Ray it too!!! It was Just a matter of time before something traject occured....( Most of the discord was OJs fault)
i am a domestic violence survivor and my ❤ goes out to poor Nicole and Ron and their families. However in every book I had read on the subject, it is said that Nicole BEGGED her family to help her and her parents REFUSED to help her! I was in the same boat with no help from my family. He had my kids taken from me and I got out with only my life & literally the clothes on my back. Why didnt the Brown family help Nicole and those kids??
MARCI'A THE HOOLIGAN : Because her stupid father didn’t believe her life with that sociopath was as bad as she said it was. He even stopped speaking to her when she broke up with OJ the first time,. Her mother admitted there was more than one time he beat her. Her stupid father told her to’ ‘try and stay in the marriage’ even though he probably had seen photos of her with black eyes. OJ just turned on his charm, and promoted his father-in-law’s car dealership and his mother-in-law’s travel agency.
Because Denise is a lier, and don't believe her. I do not believe that oj threw pictures off the wall and threw Nicole's clothes outside..from everything that I've learned, juice wasn't like that..
@@daviddavis3389you can hear him on the 911 calls. Frightening. Also many people close to them saw the abuse over the years. Neighbours near their beach house saw him abuse her. He was known for it
It's so sad, no concept of Coercive Control still in the USA laws... And still no ability to help in the public for these victims - women- of domestic abuse.
Denise is the one who took the photo of the 1989 physical abuse then claimed after the murder that she didn't knew about Nicole's struggle!!🤯 WTF? ... The fact is, OJ bought Nicole a house in her own name (worth $1m in today's money). She before the marriage. She could have walked away with it and never looked back, but she didn't. And Denise was beneficiary, as well as the whole family of hooking up OJ. ⚠️ She wrote to OJ in 1993 after they split asking for them to be together again. By this time, he already bought her two other houses in her own name, which she received rent income from, plus alimony and $40k a month just for food alone.
2:40 yet she never saw you on a regular bases and never told you anything either!? Hmm that’s strange to say that you were like the 2 musketeers and so called “close relationship”. Lol Btw, how’s that fraud going with your “violence foundation”
1. Why was she going to court? 2. Why was a grown mother living with her parents? 3. Her son was also tried in court for domestic violence. 4. If she knew nothing about "it" why did she say, " oh he finally did it". 5. If OJ was comfortable enough to behave that way in front of Nicole's family and friends there everyone knew what was going on.
"She was not a battered woman" - Denise Brown (NTY, 1994) Denise Brown also pocked all of her sisters charity money - the charity got revoked. Anything Denise Brown says is a BIG FAT lie.
Exactly...she was wrong in the beginning n still is. Attention seeker...she should reflecr on her life now .? Major Liar indeed.....m glad OJ Simpson was acquitted.
@nancyvalentin8159 yes she did. But when it comes to abuse, whether physical or mental or emotional, it's a very complicated thing. The psychology of how it affects the victim is very deep. It really does a number on their self esteem, and it takes a lot for a victim to get out of the trap that their abuser has convinced them that they are in.
Jinder Dhut : Denise went with her family to Sydney’s recital, then to dinner. They then went their separate ways back to their homes. Then, when OJ called to let them know Nicole was dead, after getting information from the cops in his hotel room, Denise screamed at him over the phone: ‘You murderer, you killed her’ to which he replied: ‘Me? Me’?
Nicole Brown - Simpson sure plays the part of Denise Brown. Oh that is the same person just changed from a blonde to a brunette and the majority of American's bought this game hook, line, and sinker!
