yes it's motion capture now shut up how did they track the fingers though? 🤔 edit: This is probably the bit they have to manually keyframe. Because based on my understanding, motion tracking movements THAT fine or making an uber complex rig that can automatically map fingers to the predefined notes is probably not practical. And are probably harder to do than just keyframing.
@@nathanyu9134 not from afar i'd reckon. AI's can do great things but it is not magic. i imagine if they have cameras plastered on the actors hands, but then again that would interfere with the playing most likely way to "cheat" this bit is to link the fingers to a predefined midi but even then it's an incredible feat and also with guitars there are no one true string for a single note so it's even more complex. so either way, i think this is still pretty impressive
Love how she's so shy and flustered and cute but then entirely different on stage. It's perfect how they gave a character like this a powerful role on the guitar
@@siorganism For non-guitar players, the image of an "electric guitar" in their head is that of the ones they've seen in popular bands from the last century. Models like the Gibson Les Paul, The Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster and perhaps the Gibson Flying V, as a more radical design. Guitars like the Strandberg are unconventional, with no headstock and even slanted frets at times. Though these types of guitars are much more common nowadays, they're still not popular enough to be your average example of an electric guitar. Usually stereotypical electric guitars are chosen for the purpose of clarity. Producers want the audience to understand that what they're seeing on their screen is an electric guitar, and designs like the Strandberg might cause confusion. So character designers either chose a well known guitar, or design their own shape to match the character they're creating. Movies, series and anime that are music themed, are more likely to have more interesting instruments, because it is intended to go a bit more in depth in the life and habits of the musician characters
@Kokopium I don't hate, I just say my opinion. It's not because I think it is bad Ii hate everything about it every time I listen to it. Btw, Hater is a 2015 fallacy.
well i think its not accurate. the first drop notes she played we can see shes picking the d and the a string as it is on drop d tuning and theyre definitely not just a single string sound. Then after that the power chords she plays the finger placing is wrong. That tapping also seems kinda sus. But it was well animated.
That strandberg is so fucking badass, I don't watch anime but hats off to whatever studio animated this and incorporated a real strandberg boden in it, hats off.
Have no clue what this anime is, but that was the smoothest guitar animation I’ve ever seen. And the Strandberg looks perfect too, down to the angle of the frets near the pickups and the shape of the headless neck
Pretty Solid I Can Say For The Animation And The Voice Actor For This Character Is Pretty Good Ngl. I remember She Was In a band called The Sketchbook They were my fav band Until They Disband To Continue Their Life And Now She Join This Franchise
@@haymincalees9660 Also, there's no possible way to make a Marshall sound as open and huge as a Mesa. They're too whiny and shrill. They ain't chugworthy amps.
@Sergeant Death Sentinel Yeah, they used *effects* to improve the Marshalls they were playing through. Axe the effects and those Marshalls sound like the plastic they're made from.
Wondering if her signature Boden (or the J series in general) gets the NX version. Also with the release of Drive Us Crazy MV, Rokka is probably the only canon anime guitarist that uses extended-range multiscale headless guitar. Unfortunately she doesn't djent. :) (on the side note, PRS please give Nagisa a sig)
@@aleajxctaest oh I haven't missed any RAS release. I have left a comment on the Soul Soldier live video months ago. It's just that you never see the J7 in the anime form untill the Drive us crazy MV.
Her VA (Riko Kohara) has been a strandberg artist since before she officially joined the franchise. It's reasonable to assume that Bushiroad just went along with that. You will see her MESA rig on stage in the anime too. And the bassist Layer's VA (RAYCHELL) is a long time player of Spector and Darkglass, her rig can be seen in the anime. Drummer of band Morfornica, the latest addition in this franchise, plays a Canopus kit, which is what her VA (mika) plays irl. So it's safe to assume that nowadays if the VAs have their preferred instruments irl, Bushiroad would try to get them licensed.
@@haymincalees9660 nope, she's using epiphone/gibson les paul and Dean guitar her strandberg was endorsed spesificaly for bang dream franchise. i'm looking everywhere there's no track record she's owned or endorsed before starting bandori that's why you don't see her using strandberg outside bandori, same with aimi, saechi and kudoharu doesn't use their Bandori signature and using their private own like prs, gibson and fender. also not true, Raychell said she's own B.C rich not spector again, the Spector were for Bandori but she's often using it after unlike other Seiyuu ESP,Strandberg, and spector are endorsed the franchise. im pretty sure their seiyuu preference like number 5 of bushiroad priority like you think anyone like playing random star or Arrow outside Hairy metal band and power metal band? cmon now
@@hannasaynwittgenstein-berl6931 I stand corrected. Most of the information I had was from reddit and twitter. I might read it wrong or there was mistranslation somewhere. I still find it wierd that RAS seemingly broke the tradition of ESP sponsor and right after that Morfornica were back with ESP again. Like OP said, it was weirdly specific. Poppipa have been doing some marketing contents for ESP, such as visting the factory. IIRC I've seen some promotions for the ESP academy that even include RAS (because Riko and Natsume used to study there). They seem pretty devoted to ESP. If the seiyuu don't have much saying in this matter, then maybe producers just wanted some diversion, which was pretty cool because I haven't heard the name Canopus since a while (also wierdly specific, because they are a boutique brand), it's great to see it in an anime form. Hoping for some Tama presentation now lol.
@@haymincalees9660 Well you get it wrong then, unless you can provide a reliable source and link it here simple. because RAS were expected to be Backing band not officially joined the bandoriverse or so RAS member told by bushiroad. clearly the Third or now RAS were never planned to join bang dream at first place but their insane popularity made Bushiroad change their mind a year and half later. it said by chell,Tsumu2 and reochi themselve on Radio R.I.O.T episode 59 they were always told "No, RAS is not part of Bandoriverse" So they probably just send a proposal to several brand and both strandberg and Spector who's interested on it Just for example there's another Band join on the side called MYGO, they are not officially in the universe yet so their instrument most likely not ESP while morfonica Joined and scouted spesificaly as in universe Band so that's why ESP endorsed them it just simple as that, ESP contract probably only included cross-multimedia band like popipa and roselia while RAS was always planned as backing band for HHW,pasupare and Afterglow but again, Their surge on popularity changed bushiroad mind later so they joined the universe with their respective Instrument.
@@haymincalees9660 also another reason why There's Rickenbecker(Hagumi),Tom Anderson(Hina),Gibson(kaoru and ran),fender(himari and chisato) in the game not all ESP because like i said before, they are not cross-multimedia so ESP contract wasnt included hope that help clear thing up
falling into Saaya's rabbit hole made me wanna learn the drums but kits are still expensive including the electric ones, i opted out to be Tae's rabbit tho so i can just borrow my friend's guitar, they'll be more than happy to
This is how the world stays balanced. Anime artists and designers spend countless hours making sure everything is perfect in order to prevent kars4Kids from destroying the planet.
Masuki says she was playing RIOT. Took me several tries to find the part she was playing. She sure as hell nailed every note but the tuning sounds a bit different
