Omg…I’ve been driving for about 7/8 years! First time in an international truck and what do I do…lock the damn keys in the truck! I was outside with a hanger for over an hr! Got on RU-vid watched a few videos (they sucked) came across this and I was in the truck in less than 5 minutes after watching your video! I can’t thank you enough…you have NO IDEA!!! I’m one who is skeptical of comments and reviews because the whole internet is fake, but this literally just saved my ass. I used a toenail clipper and a belt buckle. It worked ASAP. I was FLOORED.

Bro.. that shit worked!!!! You wouldn't believe how many times I've locked my keys in my truck. You saved me this time. I'll never need a locksmith as long as I drive a prostar.
Scary thing is, between freightliner and international (key blanks are the same), there's about 15 different main key patterns... like OP said, try a similar Key.... my spare right now, it's my old spare from 4 trucks ago, it'll do the driver lock with slight jiggling and a light pull. As long as you can get most of the pins/ridges, the wiggle and push/pull can trip the rest of they're close.... just sayin...
Knock on wood i haven't had any break downs and this is a pre owned truck.I had things go bad but the truck was still drivable. For me it has been a good truck so far.
Line the lacking tabs on the back of the cover with the holes on the door.if the tabs broke off when you're taking the cover off put some silicone on the cover and your good to go.
The purpose of the video is to show truck drivers who locked themselves out their truck how to get in without breaking the side small window or calling a locksmith.If someone unauthorize break in at least they didn't break the window or damage the cylinder.

I've been driving for almost 20 years...I can't believe some of the content on RU-vid and facebook...and remember this...it most likely won't be your parked truck that they break into...now they'll be pulling apart more shit lol... I'm a trainer...I train my students to keep a spare on them...and lock you door with your key and you'll never be locked out...ty for posting though.
