This case is rock solid (like other Pelican cases). ru-vid.comUgkx3jMFPw9QX_Iu4DNcjW-t9AZ4_iNhJzhE I paired it with the Master Lock 140T set of padlocks. The US Airways ticket agent that checked the case was impressed by how completely the latches were secured. The case has layers of removable foam cubes that can be easily adapted to the contents of the case and keep everything secure. After declaring its contents to the ticket agent, I was allowed to put this case in other checked luggage. Due to its size and black color, this helped insure that it wasn't misplaced by a baggage handler. TSA was (apparently) happy with the packaging as well. If you plan on flying with more than one of the main items, I would recommend buying a larger Pelican case and just transport the case as another piece of checked luggage.
I am always amazed with how well composed the videography and lighting of your videos are compared to your subscriber count. I know positive comments may not be left as often as they deserve to be, but let it be known: I have had this thought every time I have watched your videos since I have been subscribed. You deserve, and I know will earn, countless more subs than you currently have (benchmark number for this comment is 33,387subs).
Thank you very very much for the kind words. TheTacticalNomad is my video guy and he films in RAW. The quality shows for sure! Do you follow along on FB and IG? I've taken up photography :) Thanks again! I appreciate the support!
@@oliverallen5324 came so close to doing just that but went with the last year of pure V-8 in a red Tundra TRD Sport. My other car (GM muscle car) is GM product, so if I had money to have two cars and two trucks, I think I'd get the AT-4 in that gray color. But...at least I have the full console safe in the Tundra! For future reference or just curiosity, what makes Sierra a better way to go than the other GM candidate, Silverado?
You should mention what the website states. "This will raise your back seat 3" " which reduces visibility out back window. Other wise it seems like a great product. I bought the console safe and will pull the trigger on this one someday.
Are we going to sit here and think that tiny locking mechanism is seriously the best they could do with all that engineering LOL Love the design of the box..
Man I just installed the console safe. Wow! Just a thought since he is your friend. I would pass on a couple of suggestions. I have a crewmax the under seat long gun for it has some issues. The biggest problem I have with it is that I have to lift both seats in order to access the firearms. Please pass it on to him to make a lid or top like the one you have with split door. If I need to access quickly and the passenger seat is down I can’t open it. Hell a box just the width of the large seat would be great! I can cut the square seat frame latch’s and recess it flush to the floor like the esp box.
Lockerdown safes really are very high quality!! I have the console safe in my 2016 Tundra double cab and it is no joke! Well worth the money. I will definitely be getting one of these for my double cab. Looks like it is deeper front to back then the stock plastic under seat storage? Good review.
Do you have something for the 1992 for bronco? The rear of my SUV I think would not be ideal because I can get to the rear of truck without rolling the window and I may not have the chance to in a emergency. Your thoughts thanks in advance.
I have a question would they sell the same safe for a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 2-door long box with a bench seat. It does have a small console in the middle but it's not a adjustable type at all it's just a bench seat that's it? If they would have it for that type of truck could you possibly post a video of you installing one in that type of truck for me I would really appreciate it very much if I could upload a photo of the type of truck I got I would but I have no option of doing that on your site on RU-vid. If you could find me a way I could do that so you can see what vehicle type my own then maybe leave me some way to upload my information of my truck so you can look into it for me I would appreciate it very much?
Gentleman, i am not here to pick up a fight, but have you guys heard of a youtuber call “lock picking lawyer”? He show everybody how easy to pick those gun locks. If NRA are really serious about the gun lock / gun safe lock, please encourage the manufacturer to use some good quality locks, thanks. Ps: or you guys can hire him to test those lock? I guess he would be happy to do that.
Yeh, I have console safe in my Tundra CrewMax. This rear seat project may be a bridge too far for me, sadly. I read somewhere that does it that they raise the whole deal by three inches!
I have two of these safes in my tundra. Console and under back seat. They are great quality and I love them. One of the best things to protect your valuable guns. I leave one ar and glock in there at all times. The only complaint I have is speed of access. The little dial combo lock is not very fast or easy to see. Make sure your sidearm is out while driving or in person. U will not be able to access it fast like this guy in video. I got the dial lock on mine. I’m wondering if I can change out to the push button lock and would it be faster? I find myself leaving combo dial to two correct numbers to speed my access.
Definitely, a option to change your lock to another one of our options. Lock'er Down is now offering the Exxtreme safe which offers more security if you are interested!
The hinges and locks look rather weak. I'm betting a crow bar would easily break into it. Also the struts don't look recessed into the top do the would take up usable space correct?
Will this safe fit on my 2001 Toyota Tundra? I noticed on this install, the seat didn't quite go down level. Did you notice? Yes, my truck is a dinosaur, haha.
I understand the major market will be for truck or SUV storage, but I hope to eventually see something workable for a coupe or small sedan like my 3-series. Finding the space might be tough, but I would love a small locker in the top of the trunk that hinges down like the tactical walls shelf.
I'd like to put one in the trunk of my Mercedes-Benz instead of putting it in the carrying case and putting it in the trunk.the benefit for me would be it wouldn't have to be 10 inchs tall could get by with it being six and a half to seven inches tall over all depth would be great for me. jjm in Montgomery Alabama Sent classA
I always get a laugh out of guys that have $50-$75 grand or more in a truck that has tons of "look at me" accessories added to it plus tens of thousands in guns and they bitch about the cost of a $900 security product. The more it says look at me the more it screams break in me!
Is the seat able to actually go all the way down to 90 degrees as before, or is the safe propping it up a bit. There appears to be a gap which is larger forward than rear of the seat suggesting it is not able to seat fully.
I definitely like the safe looks awesome it’s crazy what we’ve come to having to lock your guns when I was growing up in New York people used to run around with your pick up truck with guns in the back window anyway again great video
I have weather tech floor matts it the front and back seats of my truck. Do you know if these will interfere with the safe? The floor liner runs under the back seat
At 50% over cost, the Federal Government would be confused as to why they are getting a 450% discount. I've spent 27+ years in the Military, and there are buckets of waste in the government.
I'd love to get something like this, too bad my Tundra CrewMax doesn't have the same space under the back seat. Makes no sense to me that the bigger backseat area doesn't have this space available.
Looks like a nice very well built product. I would just never leave any of my guns in my vehicle. If someone steals your truck your screwed twice. Keep up the good vids.
I see the main use of this being if you break down in the middle of no where. You can keep the gun and other survival equipment here for use. If the shit hit the fan and there was a massive attack out of no where it would be good I guess although it would take a while to access this weapon.
You say you installed this in under 5 minutes for your Toyota Tundra. The website for this product says you have to remove the rear seats (at least for the Crew Max Tundra), add a supplied 3 inch spacer and then install. Would love to see that one installed....
