this L-100 was also used by Delta Airlines in the 1970s as their Air Cargo division perhaps they should order L-100J again since they were L-100 users in the late 1960s to early 1970s
Looping a C-130 I would have to say it has more power and stressed different . The Herc. is a badazz bird especially when it decked out in Spectre form . Can one imagine the Blue Angels in close formation in the Herc . That would have to be scary .
RDR JohnMarston unimproved runway landing capability. The C-130J can land almost anywhere whereas if you have a jet engine you need a nice clean runway.

Damn, that thing is ugly, it looks like it was designed on Microsoft Paint, the US would save an enormous amount of money if they just bought the Airbus a400m, and it out performs that plane, and we could save tons of money on developing this THING.
you do realize the A400M is a much bigger plane? it needs a bigger runway, more fuel.. Although it only carries about 20 more passengers.. The A400M is definitely not the cheaper option nor logical
This is not the c-130 used by the military. They made a commercial version to be sold to the public. But why in the world would the us buy the a-400 when we have had the c-130 for decades??? I don’t believe the a-400 is even in full rate production yet. We have an ac-130 version used for close air support which the a-400 will never be. The a-400 is much more expensive because it is much bigger. These are different planes. We have the c-17 which is about the size of the a400 anyways.
Vinny ! Wrong. First off, the C-130 and A-400M are two different aircraft for two different roles. The aircraft of the same role to compare against the A-400M would be the C-17. Second, the A-400M is VERY expensive. Third, what are you talking about saving “tons of money on developing this thing”?! The C-130 is a over 50 year old aircraft! This version is just a civilian variant of the latest model.
