I recently bought the Secure Pro Latch version. The batteries died within four days of installing it. No big deal, they were probably old from sitting in a warehouse. But with the Latch version of the lock (not the deadbolt version), there is no way to manually lock the lock when the batteries are dead. Not with the key from the outside, or any kind of mechanical latch from the inside. I had to leave my house unlocked while I made a mad dash to the store to buy fresh batteries. A huge design flaw, in my mind. If not for this one issue, I would absolutely love this lock and recommend it to others, but not being able to lock it when the batteries go dead is a deal breaker for me.
I installed my new Lockly Secure Pro yesterday-has been working flawlessly. My biggest complaint is the beeping when I open the app on my smartphone. And it also beeps each time I execute a function or just go from one page to the next. Is there any way to turn off the beep? Perhaps this was a firmware update, but the passcode must be between 6 and 8 digits. So far I’m enjoying it.
what to do if I sold my house. Now the buyer can not set the new passwords or code. What can I do to help the buyer to set up their own passwords access or code
Great Review! I do have a question. Does anybody know if this lock has to be connected to the wifi at your home to work? Or is that what the wifi hub does? I want to install it in my home gym but my wifi does not reach there.
it can be connected to the wifi hub or you can just access it via bluetooth. when I purchased it already comes withe wifi hub to remotely access the lock, less hassle!
I have a Lockly lock with wifi hub and door sensor. I can unlock the door remotely anywhere I am using the Lockly app on my phone. Very convenient right?!
The sensor being a stand alone thing is ridiculous. Anyway, the issue for me is that no manufacturer (besides August) seems to be interested in making a discreet lock. To me the perfect lock retains the regular key option, adds a discreet fingerprint scanner and then do what the rest do like phone unlock, etc. Bonus points if they manage to bypass needing a "hub". I hope August works on this idea, it makes sense for them.
Door obviously would have a lock and having it discreet doesn't make any sense for me. Having a visible lock with a sleek design tends to be more appealing.

Hadi Al Gareshah yep man. I used the lock (previous version) for 2years and it works flawlessly. It will lock for 30 sec after opened in my setting. But you can choose a different duration
I have one and got the secure link/door sensor too. Similarly i love it but also annoys me that the deadbolt can close with an accidental touch. The auto lock is a good feature except it still locks even when the door is not closed - i dont think there is a reason it should lock when the door is open. I hope Lockly can add this.
Another question, the length of the passcode could be more then 4? and how is the keypad doing till now? I got schloge and I have keypad problem with it so thats way Im moving to this one.
Yes, there is an option to have the Lockly auto-lock after a set time. And yes, the passcode is 6 digits. The keypad is working fine up until now but I must say I rarely use it. We mainly use the fingerprint reader to unlock the deadbolt.
Hi, Why should I buy a lock that has a separate door sensor and wifi hub when Samsung WiFi Locks have everything built on? if you could let me know that would be great.
I have 2 Lockly Smart Locks. 1 Secure Pro and 1 Secure Plus. Good thing about having a separate wifi hub is that you can connect the 2 locks with one hub instead of buying 2 locks with wifi hub, there you can save money. :)
John Abbott yup that’s probably my best option right now. I just like how the numbers rotate on this one and the finger print is just an added bonuses. Also I just seen a wyze one that will unlock it self when you get close enough. I thought that was pretty cool too.
Does it offer an alternative way to open like the Yale + Nest lock? I like that if the battery dies, you can hold a 9V battery to the bottom to enter your code.
Warning, this lock has no ANSI grading. A small hammer slammed against the chassis will shatter the housing allowing a thief access to the deadbolt latch which can be turned with a flathead screwdriver.
This lock is good when it's working, but you wait until something goes wrong! Like mine has. Customer support - useless. *Oh well - remove batteries and it's still a lock with a key...
