An exclusive cab ride on Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch's recently restored and relaunched "Samson".
I decided it would be nice to share the fun we have with steam engines with the rest of the world - here on RU-vid - using my GoPro camera.
So here's Ian and Sean taking us on a 30 minute ride between Hythe and New Romney in Kent - in the glorious sunshine.

First rode these trains back in Oct 1978, rode them again in Sept 2018, & it's still the same. Thanks for giving us a unique view of such a great memory.

Spent a gala day on th RH&DLR in May of 2017 when me and the wife were on a caravan holiday in Kent. One of my favourite days out. Highly recommended. Brilliant performance from the loco(s) here. Great stuff.

I can remember going on The RH&DR back in the mid 60`s with my folks (when I was a kid) we had a week`s Vacation in Folkestone of all places . Now I have early retirement must re-visit some time in the spring this year. Great video many thanks for posting.

When riding the RH&DR you not only go back in time, you also s t r e t c h time. At 06:50 it goes past the end of my road. By car on the A259 (which runs parallel to the line) this journey takes 2 minutes. Not so much fun, though.
