Oh my goodness. That would be my kind of store. I just watched a RU-vid article on the Lodge Factory, showing all the different steps in getting to the final product. I am a big cast iron fan. I have some pieces from my grandmother (Constance Minnie Barraclugh) I even have the dutch oven they were planning to take with them, full of beans , as they headed into the hills, when the tribulation came. It didn't happen in her lifetime, but it is a wonderful pot. I have two nice square ones that fit side by side on a coleman stove. And lots more, which I plan to part out to my four sons.

Love this store!!! I been there so many times. I remember the small store they had that was on the main street of South Pittsburgh. Been to Cornbread Festival, Loved it. Every where you walked they gave you a small piece of corn bread. If you ever get a chance to go, Do IT!!!! Also this isn't far from Chattanooga,TN. Beautiful country, beautiful town. If your in AL, MS you pass this town to get to the Smokey Mountains....

I love cast iron, and have a pretty good collection. But I love going to the outlet store! They have weekly sale items, and differentthings all the time. I guess you could say I'm addicted to it, and use it every day!

Can I say COOL, I love my Lodge Dutch Oven I keep in my RV, now I may have to get an enamel one for my kitchen. I saw the edge flaw as soon as you picked it up, no biggie.. Now I need to go to Cabelas and see what's new.

Lodge outlet is a really great place. We use to go to Scottsboro and made a trip to South Pittsburgh one time. Have you ever been to the Cornbread Festival? We meet a couple there that did Kettle Corn. Told them they needed to come to Dothan, Al for the Peanut Festival. The next year they were there and were there every year. But we moved and sure do miss it all. My wife wants to visit the area again.

So wished I knew you were making a trip to south Pittsburg. I’m from that area. I visit there often. A great place. I get all my iron ware and other stuff there. I have several pieces but wish I had not gotten the dutch oven with the lid with spikes - I'm sure it is to be used camping but it is a huge pain to clean. Otherwise I love my grill skillet, my large fry pan and Dutch oven and small cornbread skillet - I use them on my induction burners

If you're talking about the spikes under the pot lid, those are there to help baste your food. As liquid from your roast or whatever evaporates and gets on the underside of the lid, the spikes help it to drip right back down onto your food.

I like how affordable Lodge cast iron is but I actually hate their factory seasoning. I had all my lodge cast iron completely sanded down on the cooking areas and then refinished them to the surface I want. So I would have been thrilled with that “second” as it would be one less spot to sand.

I love my cast iron. I ended up buying chain mail scrubber for mine and it works great. I haven’t ventured out to buy a Lodge yet. I’m guessing that they are good products.

That would be a wonderful trip. I like my 10" Lodge skillet so much. I spotted the old fashioned claw foot tube and would have gotten one also. The two handled baking dish would have been on my list too Thanks for sharing.

That is just the kind of store I love. I'll have to see if I can find a Lodge Outlet not to far from me, but there probably isn't any. I'm fairly new to Pa. and don't know what's around. Your "kids" will be happy with the pans I'm sure. Stay well and safe.

I would totally love that store! I would also have to save plenty of money before I went there. I love the Dutch oven that you got. Mine is a blue one...which if I remember right, you have the same one. I really want to get a bread pan. That baking pan would be nice to have as well. That little bathtub is adorable!!
