I'm very impressed with your knowledge of building and use of tools. I like to watch these kinds of videos, and speaking as a woman in her 50s it's such a delight to see a woman with these skills.
I just saw your channel for the first time and have been sitting here for the last few hours watching your videos. I don't even know how to explain the level of entertainment, skill, talent and intuitiveness you provide. Beyond that, I lived in Porto a long time ago for a yr and a half and so wonderful to see the sights, makes me lonesome me to go back. Again, great work and I can't imaging why anyone would give your videos a thumbs down
Very cool build and it couldn't have better timing. I'm building bunk beds for my two youngest sons and my wife decided she wants stairs at the end of them instead of a ladder. You just chose the design option for us. Thank you for that.
Wow. You are amazing. Artistic, skillful, self-driven, and self-reliant. Every skill you learn and develop, every specialty tool you acquire, every step you take to try the never attempted before, takes you closer to a life with no boundaries. Your creativity and passion have no limits. Wishing you the best.
This is filmed so beautifully that I got distracted by how nice the shots were and completely forgot I was watching it to brainstorm how to make some tiny house stairs. I had to watch it twice! Amazing work. :)
Yes I am late to the game on this one. That is going to be sweet when it's finished. Fish tank with some uv lights and that color board...wow...looking forward to more....thanks for sharing, one more thing I love your outside workspace....
outstanding work! just love the idea that the material is both structural, functional, and elegant in it's simplicity. it makes the work much more honest than patching different materials to achieve each desirable property. recognizing almost all of the city views makes me what to visit again. not for nothing the old part of the city is UNESCO world heritage. thanks for the idea, commentary and sharing your personal thoughts and experience. .
Stumbled upon your videos because I'd like to make some stairs for my son's loft bed. I wish I had a fraction of the amount of tools you have on hand! You are very talented at building as well as videography. Can't wait to see more of your work!
Your channel is addictive. I like how you show the details (for thorough content) but speed it up. The sound effects are a great touch too! You live in a beautiful city.
I love the solution and I envy you a tiny bit for all your great tools and especially your outdoors workspace. They all really make a difference. Thanks for the inspiration I think I’m going to build a larger kind between my two stories apartment.
Creative solution. The valchromat material is an interesting building material. Colour remains after sanding and cutting. The best part is the water resistance !
I like your intros, your outros, your multiple camera angles, your music, your good humor and your projects. When I need to drive perfectly straight nails with a nail gun I tape or glue a small plastic mason's line level to the side of the gun's magazine. Using this technique I can drive nails in very thin wood and be assured that I am going to go straight in. When I want somewhat more mechanical advantage from a nailed together project I will drive longer nails into the work piece at opposing angles to each other. Think the letter X. This will help clench your two pieces together. : )
Really great build. I watched a few of your project and I really your way of approaching every build. Oh, I noticed your hand saw and I know that every time I see dexter tools, I meet a European neighbour :-) . Greetings from Greece ...
. Por cierto bonito loft y bonita terraza. Saludos
Hi! Just discovered your channel and Subscribed right away! You are not a woodworker, you are a multi-discipline artist, and it shows!!! Photography, drawing, you are extremely talented and you have an extremely interesting personality and like the open state of mind that you have... Bravo !!! (I hope that your dad doesn't live too far away!!! They are always helpful and they are usually happy to lend a helping hand!!! ) - dan from Canada
First of all. I love your hair. And secondly. The way you cut the wood in the last episode, I thought was a genius way, I never thought of that before. Keep doing what you do. You rock.
This looks really cool. I've seen valchromat once before and thought it looked really interesting with the colours and the texture. Great use for it - I'll be watching out for the next episode and the different colours of the stairs! Thanks for sharing!
Great video - informative, creative and with high production quality. thank you for taking the time to make it. Additionally, really like your crosscut sled design.
Valchromat is a beautiful material. It's hard to explain how different it feels to standard MDF. It's got this beautiful dense, smooth surface. I always wondered it you could turn and polish it. Anyway I know I'm 3 years late to this party but I'm about to build a loft bed with stairs/storage and I'm loving this project so far.
I love the idea of loft beds and I like your design, I've built a couple. I'm all for practicality and I love your design of staircase/shelves. Great work!! Thanks for sharing : )
I really loved what you are doing. I can easily see your eyes catches aesthetics probably your background is related with art. Your typography usage and branding also. Great, please keep going.
I used to have that problem with my nail gun but I picked up this tip somewhere. If you look at the angled ends of the nails it will tell you which way it will want to curve when fired. Then orient the nail gun to the board in such a way that the nail can only curve where wood will be if that makes sense. I do that every time now and I don't get nails coming through my boards anymore.
yeap, John Heisz told us to keep the nailgun perpendicular to the length of the joint. The nails will always bend left or right (with respect to the gun) but never forward or backwards, because the way they are made. Is the fact that they bend what makes the joint strong. Since they have "no" head, having them in random directions is what ensures that you can't pull the piece out :)
I know that, do that and it still happens. That method can only work if your work piece is thicker than your nail is long. If the nail is two inches long and your work piece is three inches wide, you can shoot anyway you want.
Looks like high quality material. You handled the situation of being 1 sheet short very well :) Project is looking fantastic! and those textured doors... WOW. Excited to see the next episode!!
Thanks my friend! Yeah, at the moment I realized it, I did my best to manage a way to use the grey the best I could. Then I'll just make fronts for all the smaller brown boxes and no one will see that :D
Got an aquarium idea for you. Back in the 90's in Texas I was in a bar where they had old wooden TV sets fashioned into aquariums mounted around the bar up where the ceiling and walls meet. They then ran clear tubes between all the aquariums around the bar. As you sat there drinking, you watched the fish swim between aquariums thru the clear tubing. Was pretty cool.
Valchromat.. a great product. I used it to build my table saw and most of the jigs... (it als works great as a sliding material when you put some "grease" on it!) I wish it would be available in more shops... because yes, here in PT you have to drive a few 100 kilometers to find some. (Luckily I got some off-cuts from a furniture maker here in Tomar.) Great project Cristiana!
These videos are soooo awesome, 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾just wanted to know how to make a loft bed but I got sooo much more. I'm a complete novice at diy but I've always wanted to build things.
Girl you are my role model. I invent and craft anything that comes to my mind too. What I ask myself is if you rented or bought all the machines and Tools needed in your Films. The mighty saw, I am impressed by how easy it seems to handle it. I am going to build a highbed for my son, to use the height of the room properly and your shelves look awesome too! Thanks for sharing your inspiring work!
I don't make this kind of things but it is so interesting how you built it and also how you edit your videos, brilliant work, looking forward for the next episode. Greetings from Colombia!
This is only the second video of yours that I've watched but I have to say that I'm hooked. Your artist talents shine through in the high production value of the videos. Not like the typical videos one sees on youtube.
