One of my favorite films. I love Ustinov in this role. This scene is a wonderful homage to T.S. Eliot's 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats'. (I recommend reading this particular book asap.) Thanks for the video!
Watched this movie while I had covid. Definitely a cult classic that speaks to you by saying life isn't fair for all ages. The only thing that's fair is the love you have from your family.
Good US accent Mr Ustinov. I loved him, Quo Vardis he stole the show as Nero, then as Herod the great. Also a great Poirot. Very versatile I miss his like a lot.
Logan went back to the dome and said there was no sanctuary. But outside that dome prison (where you die at 30) sure sounds like freedom which is sanctuary to me!
Logan's Run often gets panned for its dated special effects, but this one scene is written and acted as authentically and as timelessly as any in a science fiction production.
Whatever happened to Jenny Agutter ? The last movie she was in was " Darkman ", as the doctor who severed Peyton Westlake's nerves or else " He'd spend the rest of his life screaming " from his burns.
She's still acting and doing quite well for herself. She is currently the star of the BBC tv series Call the Midwife. She's older, of course, but still as lovely as ever.
The irony of this scene is the men working in Congress are as old as Peter Ustinov plays. High time we get new blood in there. 98% of today's Congress were in office when this movie came out. Term limit?
