If you haven't already could you talk about any sound advice you have? People can forgive poor video but not poor audio and I wanna make my mic sound crisp 😂
Hi! Can you advice how to get the video looking great for Zoom app and also to mazximise the wide angle view, please? I'm using a Mac and it has been pretty frustrating trying to get the C922 to work properly. Thank you in advance!

This is late but I appreciate it. :) I've always struggled on getting my green screen to be cut out cleanly until I realized that the "green" was more of a "puked up grass" color, once the sun is no longer blaring in my face and I can get good lighting I'll try these adjustments.
Bro you should have way more subs this video was professionally done, great job man ! The quality was awesome and so was the content. Great help buddy !

I’d agree to the general direction of your advice. Still there are some things I might add. A) Logitech Webcams (all of them!) while being comparably sharp for the money , are quite noisy. So while sharpening the image can help for smaller webcam views, for example while playing games on stream, it will make the Noise of the Image more noisy still. Keep that in mind. B) Running two portable sun bright like the Elgato Key Light at full power and turning the C920 down to an exposure of -7 to -8 with some (or no) gain to stop the image from blowing out won’t help with the image noise. The sensor is simply too small. Even the Logitech Brio is guilty of this issue. C) The cam should run at 5000K fixed white balance. The light color should be set to match that. The full light however should be set to like 4250K. D) I’d recommend to try creating your own LUT to fix the weird coloring of the C920 - it’s usually not very hard to do. There are tutorials for Davinci Resolve on YT.
I used an a6300 for years.. such a good little camera if you can avoid the overheating issues... I'd personally buy an elgato Facecam these days.. Its not as good as an a6300 but as webcs go it's pretty good! A secondary option would be to use your phone instead and link it using epoc cam (iphone) or droidcam for android

This video just turned my setup from a a shitty over exposed c920 to a crisp DSLR looking 920. Now I see why lighting is key, i had the lighting but all those auto balances being on fucked it all up and made it look terrible! Thank you!
Thanks Man! hopefully it helps some people.. i really struggled when first starting out with making the webcam look half decent... looking forward to making more videos in the future!!

Its crazy how much of a difference that makes... it's not perfect but at least it stops the software deciding how it should look for you! Thanks for watching
Video properties is hiding because you probably have certain option on - it's forcing OBS to be always on top. It's an easy fix, but I currently forgot what it was, haha. By the way, you are clearly a pro.
How much are they there?? they unfortunately aren't as cheap as they used to be here... I got mine for about £50 but because of Covid and people working from home they're now double the price :(

Either you have noise suppression and it's not that good, or you have it too low on the color panel for the mic settings. It could be either one but it sounds weird and muffled like that.
I don't get those options either... I use a Mac whereas the guy in the video uses a Windows based computer. Any help with this would be great @AJ Sarsfield.
haha its not a cheap camera at all, then you have to add on a decent lens and that's like an extra £500+ so it definitely adds up.. but i film weddings usually.... so i need a good camera for that...
I have no clue that this video is so professional, the video quality is like the high end filmmaker camera, the editing is basic but advanced But why does he has such less subscribers
Thanks for this video. I have a somewhat related question, how did you keep the coloured background lights so vivid without the Elgato key light obliterating them? I have some Philips Hues and the key light washes them out, even on low settings.
This is a VERY late reply.. hues are great but they arent always the brightest of lights ( i use LIfx bulbs and they're similar) however The coloured background floodlights are pretty bright tbh! around 60W each so they can easily keep up with the keylight.. But if you want to keep your colours more saturated the trick is to actually have a slightly Brighter Keylight and turn down the exposure on your camera.. that way your face will be lit well But the background will look "darker" any colour you add in behind you then should stand out more.. (Gotta find a good balance though) it takes some trial and error for sure

@@AJSarsfieldFilm thanks for your reply, that’s really helpful. I actually got some improvement also by blocking the key light with some cardboard so it doesn’t shine directly on the background.
@@tomphp9925 that is also a fantastic way to help! Most people use LED panels for this type of content and although they look good aren't the easiest to control so light spills everywhere causing these issues! Hope you figure everything out!
completely agree... from what i remember I was getting WAY too much reverb because of the bare flat walls... + accidentally had 2 compressors on the audio which wasn't helping (1 software 1 on the mixer itself) I defo could have done a better job audio wise however i have fixed a lot of the issues i was having now.. you live n learn haha
I've tried like 7 different settings now and the quality looks good on OBS but when I start recording and then watch the video it's CRAP. Blurry, pixelated and laggy. Something with the output settings? Or the videoformat I saved it as is wrong? I've saved them as MKV and MP4. I'm new to all this 😂
dude, this is super helpful, thank you! however, i turn up my vibrance on my monitor and whenever something red is on screen it makes me look ridiculous, even though i have white ringlights - not sure why. if i turn the saturation down, i'm weirdly pale
I'm glad you found it useful! 💕 I'd double check your white balance if your skin tones are very red! white lights are usually around 5000 5500 kelvin so you'd want to keep your Wb setting around there.. If its still Red after that look into adding a colour correction filter in OBS to reduce the Red a bit
i LITERALLY sold my c920 a couple of days ago... if you were faster i might have taken you up on this ;) Good luck finding one though! they're Super rare to find atm.. especially at normal prices!
AJ Sarsfield Film I’m gonna give this a go when I get home so I’m hoping it cleans up the contrast on me. It’s hard having such red hair and very white skin tone. My light has an option for white or warm light as well as a combo setting
@@forcewokegaming id stick with the White option if possible... get everything looking correct then if you want to you czn play with the white balance to add some Warmth to your image! I hope you figure it out
@@AJSarsfieldFilm I will give it a try for sure! now i do only have the one light hovering just to the left of the webcam that is on my right monitor. i game on the left. so i will def try raising my light and putting it to the right just a little to offset my glare on the glasses.i have ordered some new glasses that have a high anti glare filter on them so i hope that helps!
Oh defo! Getkftw light higher and to the side helps a tonne with glare .. itll never be perfect but the worst thing you can do is have it right next to the camera... because it'll just reflect directly in your glasses Play around with angles! Youll get there
Where is your camera angle? I have my lighting and settings all fine but I can't find a camera location that doesn't make me look stupid. Tried on the side monitor, monitor in front of me, higher up on a mount, close to me on a tripod..I cannot get it to look good lol.
I'm in a similar boat, scrolling thru to see if anyone has recommended a suggestion, properties on my version of OBS doesn't have a configure video option. are you experiencing something similar?
They're very finicky to be fair and the software is a nightmare cause it never saves anything... You can get decent images out of it though with a bit of work! Hope you got yours looking better
Your c920 actually looks clear, mine looks like a grainy mess and thats with 2 elgato lights and a ring light as i was told better lighting fixes all camera problems and also the more lighting means the gain can be set at 0 which should take the grain away and make the picture clearer... gave up and back in its box it went
They both have the same sensor n hardware though.. The only difference is the 922 can do 60p in 720p.. which is basically just a firmware difference.. so in theory both cameras should be able to achieve this look
Having the same problem, It seems the only way to change certain settings is in the logicapture program, and you have to choose logicapture as the source. Would be good to find out if you can actually change the settings in obs somehow
Great video but I have an Issue on my C922 pro when I place my neon lights behind me they look way too bright and unclear..how do I fix that (can't control the neon light brightness)
Have you tried downloading logitechs most up to date drivers and their logitech software from their site?? support.logi.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360024849133--Downloads-HD-Pro-Webcam-C920 after that's all updated make sure its 1080p in that software.. and hopefully it shows up in OBS if not try a Custom Resolution setting in obs and set 1920x1080 manually... hopefully that works for you...
honestly i have no idea why its doing that.. i get that it seems counter productive in camera terms to have "gain" set to 0 however i feel like "gain" is the digital synthetic way of increasing the "exposure" of an image and "exposure" in the settings is more analogue i think it uses shutter speed to correct for it.. (as the higher this setting is the more blurry the movement gets) so make sure everything is set to "manual" and what is your current "exposure" settings
I've seen these mods done before and it definitely helps!! its the dynamic range and colour that is the biggest drawback though compared to Actual Video cameras...
Any ideas for how to SAVE these settings? If I close OBS, my c920s completely forget everything no matter what...I've tried overriding them with G Hub (enabling or disabling that 'let other programs rule' check box does nothing as far as I can tell), I've tried reverting to 10-year-old Logitech drivers (as suggested by some forum or other), I've tried the Roland Weigelt CamProps thingie..very nice but only if you have one camera. I absolutely cannot believe that c920s make so many Top 10 lists when so many streamers are ready to sledgehammer them to bits! Ahem sry. So...any ideas?
OBS is free recording/ streaming software not necessary if youre just wanting to use it for calls etc.. Logitech has a software you can download and I think you csn zoom it in and change the resolution in there If you can't find it on logitechs website just Google Logitech capture software... I think that's what it's called
Hope you can help me. I've had a c920 for the past few years and really like it. I got a pop-up from Logitech recommending that I install their Capture product which required that I uninstall the previous software. Long story short - how do I get the old software back? It doesn't show up on Logitech's download page. I don't do streaming or video games - only skype, Pal Talk, etc. Thanks for any help you can provide.
I just installed a C922 Pro and find the picture is too wide and need to focus down but can't figure how to do this. Windows10, fairly smart geek. Help?
My issue also is flipping the image on OBS so my Webcam isn't shooting my face opposite... if that makes sense? Everything that should be shot left is now right and vice versa. On the Logitech app it's fine. Only with OBS it's opposite. HELP!!!
I am using an external webcam ( logic c920) and the video lags. I am not going through OBS, just using it as an external camera to do live on Facebook. It lags before I even go live on Facebook, simply when I pull the camera up in any program before I go live. Is there something I can do to fix that? If it normal to seem lagging before you go live and then correct itself live? New to this.
If its choppy and in auto my brstxsuggestion is making sure your camera has enough light for the subject.... if the subject is under exposed the camera will try to make the image brighter by using slower shutter speeds which in turn will make your image choppy n blurry and overall not look very good!
So I’m not sure if it’s me...but everytime I’m trying to change something my webcam gets darker and worse, I think I’m stuck with the crappy default quality :(
