Hey friend thanks for dropping by! 3 Years! that is a long time for a budget mouse! I am actually trying to get the white one to match my white and grey setup :)
thank you very much for a long time I was looking for a review of this mouse and almost nothing and then I found this great and briefly explained video thank you
Great review man, using g102 since 2019 and hasn't failed me yet.Completely worth you money if ur not one of those light mouse maniacs, plus i really enjoy the simplisity (comming from years of buying garbage 20$ mices)
@@PinoyAverageConsumer oh ok, thats good, but in u r feeling, these switches in g102 have light clicks? cause when i clicks for 2 minutes on zowie fk2, my arm is dead
Thank you for the review. I have a g402 and its over 3-4 years and not a problem at all. I play competive shooter and its great. I am looking forward to buy the g102 for my lap. Hope its durable as the g402. 🙂
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! i have had this for almost a year now and no issues. although there are a couple here that has mentioned a double clicking issue. i have yet to see it though. :)
@@forgotmyname9968 honestly i dont know because i have not seen it yet. but i would think when it happens to you it may be quite annoying. :( if you are going to get this make sure you get one with warranty to be sure! :)
got addicted before in buying a mice. have 3 which are not your usual productivity mouse in my collection and they cost relatively a lot of money hahaha. Those 3 are what I call "shared resources" between me and my son. First gaming mouse that we bought was a Glorious Model O, then a Steel Series Sensei Ten. The one that I settled my hunger from buying a new mouse is a Logitech G203 hahaha. Much cheaper than the 2 mentioned. The G203 I believe is the same as the G102. Per search over the internet, the model # differs depending on the region it was released. Got mine at the Logitech store of Lazada for 890 pesos when it went on sale last March.
I have a quick question, you say 5 glide pads, but to me the middle optical "glide" circle seems way too BIG and kinda lifts the mouse off the table or mousepad, don't you have to take that down? Did you have a separate pad inside? It seems to have had a plastic cover but imo it's still too big it's like sitting on a peak under it, I can feel it moving my mouse ... this doesn't seem right
1.5 years, consider non-shooter heavy use. Yes, ghost-double-click, but, can return back to normal (for days/ month) after few hours+ of ghost-click or some knocking.
yo nice review for saving software settings you should keep the app open or it save on mouse? also i know lot of people say its so good for games like valorant and csgo but i play warzone you think its good for me? thank you.
Hello Friend thanks for dropping by! the software settings are saved in the software itself so you should run it when your PC starts. :) I use it for FPS games as well as its light and easy to use for fast paced games! I hope this helps!
I am not sure about the manufactured location (reddit discussed Japan omron and China omron), but I had 2 same Logitech g102 mouse, one was an old unit before the mice became popular (more than 4 years), whereas the newer one was after the mice became very popular on youtube. Both are made in China, the difference are slight, but after a long time usage, I can easily notice a difference, the newer mice has stiffer and less fluid clicks, sound less high pitch but louder, sensor is almost yet a bit different, the sensor has +1mm of height sensitivity, which means possible of mouse overspin when flicking, although its not a problem in this case becuz its only an approximation of 1mm higher, but the overall movement is definitely affected when playing FPS games, its further emphasize for low dpi and low sens player. The disappointing factor, its when the clicks start to fail and had double clicking with only 8 months of usage. Summarise this, it is still a great mouse, with top sensor, premium omron switches especially for this diehard pricepoint, but beware as the newer production models may not be able to live up to its name. Why you should buy this mice? The g102 was the revolutionary mice armed with the pixart pmw3366 sensor and the only mice offering this overkill sensor with a pricepoint of around 20 usd retailed back in 4 years ago (mice with a pmw3360 sensor are retailed at least 50++ usd), exclusively released for the South East Asian community. Mouse sensor are super important for a good aim in Fps games, the pixart pmw3360 identical with 3366 eliminated most mouse common problems like overspin, sensitivity glitching, mouse stutter when flicked too hard etc. Then, g102 has the premium omron switches, quiet, snappy, accurate, Speed!!!!! Imo better than huanos switches. A sexy yet not exaggerated RGB and easily replaceable great, cheap mousefeet from tiger arc. The only downsides people may dislike are the unbraided and fragile cable, curved shape at the bottom end. Great mice, every gamer with a tight budget should try this once.
I can attest to the double click issues. Had begun experiencing machine gun clicks just 4 months into using it, but it is an easy fix (had already fixed mine by replacing the Omron D2FC-F-7N switch).
I own G102 and G203 (yes, it is the same mouse), they BOTH have horrible longevity issues with LMB,RMB and side buttons starting to double click or not click at all after about a year of usage, DO NOT buy this mouse unless you are fine with replacing it every year OR you are willing to solder in a new switches once the factory ones break. But it is a pretty damn good mouse until it starts malfunctioning though...
It's been 2 years I have a G102 Lightsync and I'm still happy with it. I will have to swap buy new switches for the back and DPI buttons as they double-click now or need a firm press to activate. I'll also probably get some glass skates. The dot shape, not the full ones as I couldn't find anything online and the G305 feet are a bit longer and narrower. The scroll wheel is also starting to get really lose and it's much louder. I compared mine with my brother's 1 year old G102 and oh boy, mine is so worn out.
I have a gigabyte m5 and after a year it started doing double clicks and less responsive and sometimes doesn't even response, i tried a yt vid about cleaning the foil in the switches it fixed the issue for a month... Is switching the switches really worthit or should i look for a new mouse?(Possibly g102)
@@sh4pp31 It all depends on whether you like the mouse itself or not. Replacing the switches isn't anything hard as long as you value your time and you're patient with soldering.
Wow this mouse is really great.... i tried and played some random maps in my CS 1.6 and i noticed my aim and shots improved really! Using AK-47, SG552 , AWP sniper wow i feel only soft press and my shots are accurate.... in AK-47 i can easily kill 2-4 shots far away.... and with SG552 commando zoom in i can hit easily same as AWP sniper rifle.... this will really improved my performance in CS.... this mouse is awesome....maybe i should buy an extra one but in diff color just for reserve..... glad i saw your video and made me decide to get one.... btw i used the 1600 DPI and its really fine in my CS 1.6....
I have a 3yr old G102 and still working. Konting mods lang like changing new switch to kailh gm 8.0 (Left and right button) and kailh gm 4.0 (side buttons). Palit din yung cable to a paracord cable. Then magandang mousefeet. Also removed the DPI micro switch and button, mousewheel micro switch, and the lights (I hate RGB or any lights hehe) for konting weight reduction lang naman.
@@bbben nakuha ko lang din po sa reddit and youtube sir. actually dami na mouse mods, karaniwan is 3D printed shells copy ng fave mouse shape mo and lipat ng board ng current mouse mo. madami din weight reduction mods hehe
I can't drag click with the Viper Mini, so I'll get one and mod it as soon as possible. I don't want the Omron switches to double click on me after a month.
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! I have not tried it yet but a lot of folks actually are suggesting I do. I will probably make a video about that too. :)
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! i cannot speak for the Corsair Katar as i have not tested it yet ( maybe i need to review it ). :) but the G102 has been serving well still until today! :)
if you accidentally press the cycle dpi button in the middle of game, you die because the mouse moves too fast or slow. if you disable cycle dpi, it auto-goes back to 800 dpi and becomes the same old common mouse. and forward and back buttons, my thumb is NOT long enough to press them freely well and TOO THIN for assigning weapons 2 and 6. so it is not that good a mouse
I have g102. bought end 0f 2017. using 6 months double click, I replace with some japanese switch cost me $3 left n right it is soft. dunno original or not. no issues after all.
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! i have had to replace 2 razer mice before this (deathadder and Lancehead) they seems to get the double clicking issue more than this one. will recommend this one instead.
I ordered on the Shopee link u provided... its P888 plus P38 shipping.... hope ok sya kc kita ko naman mga positive feedbacks ....just wondering bakit mas mahal duns lazada link mo which nsa 1.6k ung G102....
Sir ung pnost mo ba lazada at shopee links good sellers b yan? Napansin ko ang layo ng price nila sa shopee nsa 888 lang pero s lazada nsa 1.6k..... ung sa shoppee nsa valenzuela pero ung lazada nsa china pa items.....
Hello Friend thanks for dropping by! I have not tested the the HP m160 so i cannot speak to it. it is cheap though so you have that. i'm just not sure if that is really for gaming. :)
Hey man thanks for dropping by! If your having second thoughts on the g102 you can go with the razer viper mini. I reviewed that too. Better gliding than this although not so good on the RGB.
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! the mouse feet are ok, they are the same as the ones for the mx master 3 actually. i am not sure why his clicks are not registering but mine seems to work fine until now. not yet 2 years though. :)
@@PinoyAverageConsumer ty so much for responding i have a last question about double click does it happend randomly or you need to click a certain way so it double click.
You mean the double click issue or the drag click? for drag clicking you need to do it a certain way and its learned through practice ( i'm not even good at this ) for the double click issue, this happens to most mouse, some earlier than others but normally after the 1 year mark.
Ok naman for my use case ang sensor. I switch between high and low depending on what i am doing. I am not a pro player so i cannot give you that perspective but for casual gaming it checks all the boxes for me.
@@daniilmurashov9069 I have not tried that yet. but will make a video in the future for sure. i did just release a video on the Razer Mini and i think its a winner too. :)
Hey Thanks for drooping by! I cant speak for the Ajazz AJ390 (maybe i should review it) but i can say that you will not regret getting the G102. just so many who have commented here. :)
Hello friend thanks for dropping by! they should be identical, although minor differences like this may within the acceptable range of error for their manufacturing. if its still within warranty you could try to reach out to where you have purchased this and see if they will replace. :)
I have another question, when I put a certain color in the software, it is only visible when I am on the desktop, but if I enter a game, it shuts down. what I need to click in the software to make the color appear in any game
Hmmm interesting. I noticed that some game could have their own light features. like Final fantasy IV for the PC where the color changes when you get hit in game. this might be that. does this happen to all games?
Don't buy this mouse. The switches give up in few months. Me and my friends have all experienced issue of double clicking with this mouse. So please don't get it.
Hey friend sorry to hear that.. i on the other hand have not had any issues.. these normally come with a warranty so you can probably have it replaced.
I can attest to the double click issue. Bought and began using it at the start of 2021 and around April it was already double clicking. But if you're willing to buy replacement switches, it is a great mouse for its price. Had already fixed my G102 Lightsync by soldering in a new Omron D2FC-F-7N switch I bought from Shopee for 106 pesos (bundle of 5 switches) and soldered it in. Not too difficult, and honestly it was my first de-soldering & soldering job. The only problem is when the switches will fail again. If it happens, I'll just solder in a new switch from the pack of 4 switches I have left lol.
@@orabaki I actually fixed it with a switch from a damaged mouse. It worked for a few months and then had the same double click issue (maybe low quality switch... I don't know). But yeah I think I will get some spare switches too. Thank you for dropping the switch name here!
Wait in shopee this cost 185 pesos ? But every comment and pictures are all legit ? Is that really legit ? The feedbacks and the score of the store is high so why is it only 185 pesos?(not that I don't want that because it is bang for the buck).
They are usually fake at that price, you will nit be able to use the logitech software with that. Best selling devices are usually best targets for counterfeits :)
