If you go into the Logitech software, you can change the joystick to act like a real joystick. It will let you push a little to walk/ push hard to run in games.

Don't use the WSAD any more, use the stick, I play strategy games on it, and give up soon don't waste time WSAD needs more fingers when used but the stock only 1 and is the tump, is a great efficiency when playing command and conquer or age of empires I move the camera with it. And don't forget to set up points to go back to places in a flash

that analogue stick is not ergonomically placed. needs more angle to be used as walking for FPS games.

So is it actually analogue the stick? As in of course will it respond in lesser increments if I push it just a small amount?

I just ordered this keypad for almost retail brand new but I’m kinda hyped for it. I’ve kinda bounced back and forth between the razer Tartarus and the ff14 hori one

I wonder if the joystick would be good instead of shift for controlling character speed in an fps.

Planning to use the Thumb Hat in star citizen for either shield of power control on my ships.

if you are handy,you can swap in a ps3 nub instead of the nub it comes with. but considering how hard they are to come by,im not doing that.

I did not understand how much this keyboard would change my gaming experience. I bought it because I had money burning a hole in my pants and the store had a 2 week return policy. I never looked back! It is easy to use and absolutely IDEAL for gaming! The button layout is VERY intuitive to a regular keyboard and due to being able to program all of the buttons on your own, you can do ANYTHING with it! Each game developer feels like you should control their avatar in a certain way. They layout the keybinds slightly differently. Each game, however, has basically the same functions for your avatar to perform! SO! With a 100% programmable keyboard, you can learn how to control your avatar ONCE and then move the weird choices that the developer made on your behalf to work in a way that ACTUALLY WORKS FOR YOU! I used this product once and fell all the way in love. I use it every day. I have done so for well over a decade. I will continue to use it until it falls all the way apart!

I thought these were pretty cool but I never had any confirmation of that.

I figured out a pretty unique setup that takes some learning but works well with the analogue stick for games that support it "Witch are few" only one ive found so far is planetside 2 but essentially s/w are replaced with space bar and your thumb becomes bound to movement with the joystick other than that things stay the same. Ive also heard some people use it for crouch/jump as its in the perfect spot for the spacebar. that being said it does have true analog mode but the amount of games that run on pc that its designed for is few and far between. I am however going to see if i can trick the machine into recognizing the device as a controller and mapping the various g buttons to buttons that normally come from a xbox controller, sorta like an inverse option of what many do to get controllers to work on pc... but in this case getting games that recognize a controller to think my keypad is a controller just to get that analog function funkey I know but ever since I got it to work in planetside 2 I kinda loved it.

Does anyone know if I can play Crossfire Rival Factions with this?

This might be a late response, and you probably heard or thought of this option before. But if you are having issues with your hand or wrist, I would highly recommend using a Dvorak layout. Has a very annoying learning curve, but it's been super helpful for me in terms of wrist strain or stress.

A lot of people use the joystick for camera control in RTS games like starcraft to control the camera so the don't have move their mouse to the corner of the screen every time they need to make a camera adjustment. Same with point and click mobas.

There is a way around the capability issues. I have done it but don't remember the solution.

The voice filters are excessive and distracting, but it could be worse... I guess i'l have to set up some counter filters to be able to listen to it without it sounding like a 90's teenager's stereo with the bass set over 9000 ... Setting 0-500Hz on -20dB, 2k to 20k on +20dB it still sound awfully exaggerated on the bass. I guess you must have set layer after layer after layer of bass over bass over bass to get such a painful result. My entire room is literally shaking from the bass at volume levels insufficient to comprehend comfortably what your saying :/ If that wasn't fake voice then you would create 9.0 earthquakes. Just wanted an objective review of the g13, not my houses foundations shaken to dust...

Dude, could u tell me how good is the joystick as replacement for WASD keys? never really could get quite used & Im looking for an intuitive alternative for moving my character, but hear the joystick is not really 8way (?) Can I move with ease? Want it for ElderScrolls Online & Skyrim (witcher 3 when available)

In an MMO I use the stick for direction (WASD) and middle press in on the stick for jump. For main keys I bind them to my abilities and alt/Control/shift keys.

joystick is perfect for those who are switching from console to pc, wasd is jarring but using the joystick is a huge life saver in that respect
