Quick unboxing, review and look at the software for the Logitech G203 Gaming Mouse with Customizable RGB Lighting & 6 Programmable Buttons.
You can find it on Amazon for about £20; amzn.to/3mC7viw. You can use a site called CamelCamelCamel to track the price and give you alerts when it's on sale. It's dropped to less than £16.99 on occasions!
The Logitech 'G Hub' software for this is very configurable, with loads of options to set it up however you like, even adding macros and recording sequences for individual applications. The configuration can be saved to the memory in the mouse itself, so if you plug it into another PC the settings are retained.
It's comfortable for my palm-grip style, and the surface is purely plastic.. nothing rubberised apart from the mouse wheel. Talking of the mouse wheel, it is a little on the harsh side, with a rough texture on top.. presumably for grip, but it isn't that nice to touch.. I prefer the smooth feel of the G402.
Lift-off-distance (LOD) is a lot lower than the G402, i.e. you don't have to lift it far for the mouse to stop tracking. With the G402 I ended up getting a black fabric mouse mat to solve the high LOD it has.
Overall, for £20, I'm pretty pleased with the G203 mouse so far.. it certainly does the job as a decent budget gaming mouse. I'll report back with any issues over the next few years.
