I wish I could order one of these with silent kailh mute optical switches in the mouse. I have a set of silent switches in my current G502 Lightspeed and it's the fuckin' BOMB. I whip this mouse around like it's nobody's business and when I hit a last-second headshot, the mouse button feels like I'm silently tapping an iPhone screen. I even have grip-tape, superglides, and a Logitech Powerplay with a fibercloth mousepad instead of the hard surface that warps & bends over time. With all the upgrades I've done to my own mouse, I feel like it's really hard to justify the purchase of a g502X, especially since I'm gonna have to do all that work just to swap the switches & put it all back together. If Logitech wants to give me silent switch options for the mouse that would be great.
Is the connection on the cable the same as the g502? or does it have more pins? i cant see it very clearly. I have a g502 that my cats chewed up, want to replace it, but cant find cables specifically for the x online
In your opinion, would it be possible to remove the rubber side to 3D print a pinkie tray? Or would it be better to drill holes and install a few neodymian magnets and affix a printed tray onto the side?
Just replaced my g502 hero's switches with omron japan switches. I guess they are still using the cheap chinese omrons. Although this 502x looks identical to g502 hero it has nothing in common inside.Totally different and even if it has a lot of screws compared to Hero's 9 it looks a lot easier to disassemble
Easier? Ive replaced the switches in my 502 lightspeed, and ive gotta tell you there is nothing easier about this. There are way more steps to disassemble and then remember going backward. And this man didn't even take apart the daughterboard for the side-switches! Jeez! Lol
@@friendsRfor773 Hey I just put the g502 hero wheel into the g502x wheel housing(this is the opposite of what you want to do haha!). It 100% works both ways. I cant 100% confirm that just moving the whole assembly works, but taking either wheel and putting them into either wheel assembly works with no problems!
