You win the internet for the best unbiased comparison review of the MX Vertical. For my needs, the vertical is perfect since I am dealing with years and years of pain in my hand/wrist/elbow/shoulder, I am willing to sacrifice the other features for pain relief and to allow healing. Thanks again!
Just got mine in the mail. It was immediate relief on my wrist. I spend long hours with the MX. It is nice to be able to switch back and forth with them both plugged in.
What a fabulous review. Very thorough. I appreciate that you actually used the mouse for a while before reviewing it unlike some reviewers who just give products a cursory use. Thank you!
Honestly this was the best review of the mouse I’ve seen. Nice work. It’s definitely more comfort oriented but I think with software updates it could be a lot of people’s go to.
The other thing I find off putting about the MX Vertical Mouse is that it doesn't weigh anything. This makes it move easier but it's also easier to knock over and I like a bit of mass feel to a mouse. Finally, if you want the vertical feel, you can stack up some sticky foams on the left mouse like I did and my wrist angle is about the same.
I just got the MX Vertical today. I got large hands and to me it feels so much better than my current Magic Mouse. I'm also on Mac. Do some video and CAD design for my 3D Printer. So far I"m happy.
The biggest disappointments are the ratchet wheel not allowing free scroll, no side wheel & no thumb button (HUGE miss there) . But every button allows gestures so the transition from like an MX Master isn't that jolting. As the MX 3 had the WORST ergonomics for me (might have actually started the wrist fatigue) I can only hope the Vertical 2 improves as the mouse it does erase my wrist pain. Which I'll take over productivity..funny enough the mx master only started hurting when doing real work schedules so..so much for "ergonomic heaven"
First time on your channel. I;ma wait for the marriage of both technologies before I spring for one. Gonna rock my M-510 till that day. best mouse review I've seen. keep up the great work!!!
Great video/review -- cuts to the chase and gets right to a rundown of all the features, benefits, pros/cons so we can make an informed decision. Very well done!
I've bought the MX Master and I have to say that is not very comfortable to use (I have big hands), my wrist edge's skin gets swallowed after a couple of minutes Unfortunately you have to try different mouse styles before you find the right one for you. Therefore, I'll try a vertical mouse next.
Good video... I have one for it's comfort... Almost word for word the ups and downs as the MX 2S is also my other mouse... So, yep, good video... Thanks boss...
I have MX vertical mouse. It worked well at first. now I cannot get it to charge, no green LED light, no cursor movement. I can't get it to function in anyway. i cannot find my manual or a number to call. argh. any ideas?
The main reason for watching your review was to find out what the switch underneath does and how to connect it to the pc using either Bluetooth or unifying but you didn't even mention that
I was after how to pair the mouse via Bluetooth! My MAC picked it up straight away and connected, although my windows laptop is not finding it via bluetooth. Have it connected via the receiver currently.
they cheaped out on the mouse and designed it to fail after a year. the switches are only 10M's so they will fail in a 1-2 years. premium price but poor build quality. mine died in 1.5 years due to clicking issues(mis-clicking during dragging)
This a terrible mouse. It's not precise, its to light weight and its very painful to use. The effort to control its movement strains your shoulder and upper arm. When you use the side buttons you strain your hand trying to keep the mouse in position. Do not buy this!
Hi, thx for the vid. I was looking a video like this, because I bought the mouse 3 days ago. For me clicking the right button DOESN´T work at all. I have the problems that you describe and in daily live it means: almost every right mouse click fails. Left mouse button is not quiet as bad, but still. For me this product is an expensive disappointment. If you think about buying one, try it before with a computer attached (not like I did, just for the nice feeling).
Just trying it out and I'm getting sore elbow and pain on right side of wrist and into my sholder as I'm having to hold it more . Not sure if I'm going to be able to make the transition. I feel like I have to hold onto it and there is no gravity down. I do have a thinner hand. I also have the issue of clicking accidentally on button. I'm also getting pinky pain which I never got on the other mouse as I'm having to hold onto mouse
I received this mouse as a gift from my son. Actually I let it just sit in the box for a while and shortly thereafter I took it out and began to use it. Initially, I figured it as just another novelty gift. Now after using it, for a couple of weeks, I've become hooked on it. After these past few weeks, I noticed that the battery had become weak last night. So I charged it up. It's been exactly a month since I received it, so I would imagine that it wasn't completely charged when I received it. No issues with that though. Now after using if for a few weeks, I thought to look up some info on it and found your review. It was quite thorough but nothing was stated about the three lights underneath it. I would assume that they have something to do with the Bluetooth channel utilized. All said and done everything works great and thanks for your review!
Most leftys use their right hand for mouses, from what I've seen. I'm left handed and I'm not sure why but I just started using mouses with my right hand and it became more natural.
not for FPS honestly, wrist movements are not healthy indeed but are more precise for shooters ... For other types of games that don't involve precision I'd say yes :)
Nice review. Why not just use the new "vertical mousepad" with a regular horizontal mouse. Same mouse accuracy with no learning curve. I got an early sample from Orb Control called mouseramp. I like it for my 3D modeling work. It gets your arm and wrist vertical posture much like a vert mouse, but different for about ~$30 with the discount. Worth checking out. Hope this helps y'all.
Hi all, I bought this mouse but I noticed something odd. The easy Switch led blinks when it is about to connect. Once it is connected, I believe it should kept off to save battery (I know I'm being pick as this a small led), but everytime I move the mouse while I'm connected to a device, the led turns on and kept the entire time while I'm moving. If I stop moving, then the led turns off. Is this happening only with me or something else also noticed it?
Hi, would you have any ideas as to what to do when your mouse doesn't seem to work.. the buttons are active, but its like the led light is not working so the cursor is not moving. I know its fully charged. Just wondering if there is a way to reset this? Thanx in advance for any tips :D
great review! I have a hack I just discovered for anyone who is used to a mac track pad.. you can enable gesture moves which is pretty sick! It works very well. And to substitute the side scrolling, you can set up the side buttons to scroll left/right
This might not sound real but in Serbia I got into game shop and there was like 1000 of cool stuff and I found that mouse and you believe it or not I cloud drag click on it
