Great advice Col. It's amazing how clients will sometimes not be sure of a logo design, but once they see it on a mockup they're convinced.

It’s something I’ve always done really. Mainly because I really like merch and love micking up items. I was really surprised that a lot of designers don’t do it. Most clients find it hard to visualise their logo in use outside of a business card. Creating mockups helps them to see the bigger picture I find.

Hi hasnain, I personally don’t use the golden ratio that much when it comes to logo design. I find it can be very limiting when it comes to the creative process. I’ve probably used it once or twice to tidy up a design but that is it. I will add the golden ratio to my video to-do list. My channel is mostly aimed at educating business/brand owners about brand and design so that they are more knowledgeable on the topic and can have a better relationship with their chosen graphic designer. Designers can also learn from my videos but they are not my main audience :)

can i use any type of fonts ( paid or free) without licensing in my commercial projects to earn money ? i came to know that font licencing is must for paid fonts..what if i use paid fonts without license in my commercial logo design and deliver logo to client ? as a student i dont have enough money to buy a font license..please anyone help me.....

You cannot use a paid for font for personal or commercial work without purchasing a license. When it comes to free fonts, they are often licensed for free when use din personal projects and do not allow you to use them for commercial work. Always check the license that comes with the free font to check the conditions of the license.

^Always check the license. However, there are many free fonts (for commercial use) that you can find online; trying searching up "free fonts for commercial use" on google.
