Everyone loves Loki, including me, but I've never agreed with people saying he was never a villain. He's not a hero, either. He's more like an anti-hero and joining the side that aligns with his interests the most. He also definitely went through a redemption arc but he WAS definitely a villain at the start. 1) In Thor 1, he betrayed his whole family and kingdom by sending the Dark Elves there. He may have been extremely jealous of his brother, angry at his father especially for lying to him for 1000+ years. But he betrayed so many people in that one movie. 2) The attack on NYC. People say that "he was under the influence of the mind stone (scepter)" or something like that. And I think that's true to some extent. It didn't mind control him as he knew exactly what he was doing but amplified his anger and conquest for power. He went from wanting just the throne of Asgard to ruling over every being in the 9 realms. He killed too many people as well. Yeah...he was definitely a villain but at least he improved as a human being and I think that's why we love him so much.

He is not misunderstood... He is Mischievous... A bit of good n bad. It means he is bad also not misunderstood. Try to approve one's character with all good n bad... Don't just pretend he is good only. There is no such thing in world as perfect.

I just feel like he does it because he wants his family to acknowledge him just as they do with Thor but since he never gets that treatment he feels empty and often does things to get attention. He just seems like someone that wants love and affection in the end but never was truly given it. Only being tossed to the curb because of his stereotype while being the “God of Mischief”

@@alterstorm21 It’s questionable, but I would say ‘not necessarily,’ if that makes sense? Even without giving directions, they might be found anyway, and Hel still might have been released since it was an “old age” thing and not a wound thing. But, of course, it’s still possible that things would go differently, sure.

@Just a Random People but that Reset charge only shown to reset only 'things' in the show, and also If they did add new Loki, wouldn't that mean they're creating more variants. Also at the start of episode 5,Sylvie said that TVA erased her whole reality, I think once they reset , it just removes loki from that reality he will not exist at all in that timeline

I have a question, how exactly is Loki responsible for Frigga's death, and how could he guess where Thor was when he's been in solitary confinement for over a year? In TDW he only says take the stairs to the left after the Kurse doesn't let him out, I doubt the stairs would have taken the kurse out of the prison directly to the royal bedroom. Thor was also shown having to fly far to get from the royal rooms to the prison. The first person to find Jane and the Queen was Malekith and not the Kurse, at most Loki may have played a part in aiding the Kurse get to where he needed to go a few seconds quicker but the one's who killed Frigga was ultimately the dark elves.

@@chaoticneutralsheep they didn't know the rooms...but loki know.. he directed them to the room...Otherwise they would have taken more time to figure out it.. and he is the one who started to set chaos from beginning...he used giant frost weapon... he used spectre and killed 80 people in newyork...thats why they gave him punishment...But he is not understanding it... He thought he is directing towards THOR...but not intentionally indirectly he also took a part in his mom's death.. not like LOKI made her get killed...he also played a small part in it.. Frigga is the one who taught him tricks and he mentions i didn't do it for him... he wanted father's approval ...but deep inside he loved his mom and brother even before redemption arc

@@ecofriendly321 All Loki said was to take the stairs to the left, not sure how that would direct the Kurse to Thor either, seems like it's an exit out of the prison and that's it. Loki can't use magic outside of his cell and I actually don't think he even knew the Dark elves or the reality stone was brought to Asgard because he was in solitary confinement. Malekith is able to locate the Reality stone too and that's why he finds Jane with Frigga. Peter Parker had a larger role to Uncle Ben's death because he let a robber with a gun escape when he had the chance to stop him, and I still wouldn't consider Peter an uncle killer. I do agree that Loki loves his family, he sacrifices himself for them multiple times.

yeah. i think it also has to do with a video i saw (i dont remember it) where the person said that loki doesn't want revenge or the enjoyment when he hurts people. he wants to feel loved and cared for so he tries to do these things to prove to others that he is worth their love and affection except somethings go wrong and it ends up making him look like a villan.

Not only a villain, and the openness with which Mobius is speaking with him in the first episode has just shocked me. How we have not got all this said so straight in 12 years and here are? Dreams of all the fans and fic writers presented on screen in just the first episode.

Lmao, he killed 80 people in 2 days, he was very much a villain. "But muh sad story," yeah that doesn't justify all the people he killed and families he broke. He is not a villain now, more of an anti hero or a villain that got redemption, but his feelings will never justify the people he killed. I mean, are you kidding me?! Even with Odin being a poor dad, Loki still had a life better than millions of people. Sad boy yeah right. NOW he is much more of a sad person after witnessing how his beloved mother died indirectly because of him, how his dad and most of the Asgardians died, and finally his own death. THAT is truly sad now, not the shitty excuse he had for becoming an evil dictator in 2012. 2012 Loki will always be villainous Loki.

@@Arius_suira they never, at any point, said so in the movie and they never showed in it in the Loki show. The show pretty much confirms that HE was responsible, not the mindstone, or Mobius wouldn't be holding Loki accountable and asking about all those killings. Mobius knows everything after all. Also HE decided to serve Thanos, he went down that path of his own will, and why? Because daddy didn't pay him as much attention? (he literally still got SO much more attention than a lot of people, his parents were never even abusive ffs). Even Loki accepts it and literally explains his reasoning in perfect detail, not something a mind stone influenced person like Hawkeye would have done. And yeah the TVA made it pretty clear it was him, so that suggestion has been absolutely ruled out.
