@@DarkHourYT and also i can’t agree with the whole “Sylvie is a wanna be marvel girl boss” shtick. i feel like everyone just wants to ride the marvel hate train right now especially when it comes to female characters; and although i can agree that sylvie was frustrating to watch in this season it’s NOT because the show was trying to make her an “independent woman” or an “empowered female character”. in fact i feel like this was one of the few marvel contents that don’t shoehorn this trope in. yes there are flaws but i enjoyed season two, and i just feel like everyone’s shitting on it for the sake of being angry at marvel. im not a marvel fanboy im just a casual viewer, this show to me seems completely seperate from marvel and i can enjoy that

I usually watch on Fridays for these kind of things. I'm gonna do a reaction style follow up at the end to see if things got better

S2 im guessing is to build foundation for the next movies as we still dont know the tru power of the kangs and loki is there to show it. In s1 it was to show the power of time while in s2 its the power of the kangs paving the way the avengers 5

I'm not sure if you know this, but I planned to do a follow-up. Secondly, I'll address your concerns here. You need a clear-cut antagonist for narrative flow to be interesting it can be nature itself, but when you present people with two terrible outcomes, they give you no reason to invest further. Also, foresee is defined as being able to see. He literally couldn't see any further into the future passed the point he died. So, his contingency plans make no sense as a plan like that requires that you know what's going to happen. Lastly, seeing as how they are moving on from Kang, this show had become pointless. So having any investment in this story is moot.

@@DarkHourYT I wouldn't know that no since theres nothing to invest with in your channel or its contents. You DO NOT need a clear antagonist to produce a good film or create a good story. You can have problems, internal conflicts, or even situational conflicts. Just look at Top gun maverick, the revenant, inception, life of pi, gravity, fight club, the Martian. Or are those also too confusing for you? It also lets the light shine on fewer keys characters and focuses on them. This was Loki's story. Not Kang's. Again. Not having a clear solution gets you to actually THINK of what they could possibly achieve or try and do. Having a clear solution and seeing it through is predictable and boring. Or maybe you just really like the Marvel movies where the good guy hits a slightly bigger evil version of themselves into stopping what they were doing? Kang.. is smart.. he thought of what could happen. What might happen. And created backup plans. Which is literally what a backup plan is. If something happens, you already accounted for it and are ready. Is that such a hard concept? Also not explicitly stated but he's been keeping time in a repeating loop for who knows how long. Chances are he's been through this and knows how things play out. For the most part. Again I have no idea what's with your backwards thinking. They wrote a story and ended said story. It's done. It's good. It's really fucking good. Leave it alone. End it on a high note. Ofcourse you'd like things to keep going and have more content to cover so you're upset over it. I'm doing a follow-up. But to address your issues, they had a whole first season to focus on character without story And episode 2 is 33% through the season. Episode 3 is halfway, and that's a serious pacing issue.

Tell me, as of episode 3, which was when this was written for aka the halfway point.. what was the goal? Was pruning universes bad or not, it seemed to have been preventing catastrophe. Also, am I supposed to root for Sylvie, who is apathetic to the end of existence?

@@DarkHourYT There is no answer to your question and that’s one of the show strength for me. As Loki, we are in a place we don’t understand the rules and the only one who does is now dead. TVA crew are as lost because they live centuries with their memories wiped, acting like robots to kill billions people without even caring and be aware of the consequences of their actions. We don’t know if trying to change the TVA is part of the plan of HWR or if pruning branches is the only solution to save the multiverse. Loki and others are like pawns in a cosmic chessboard and i hope they will find a way to escape what was planned for them. I love so much to be stuck like that without knowing what’s the good thing to do, what’s wrong, what is true, real. The TVA is not out of time, that was a lie as the citadel at the end of time is obviously not either so we see nothing about the big picture even if each episode has an end (except the fourth that let me stunned). I understand that some people don’t like this uncertainty that seem to go nowhere. As for me and many other people this uncertainty is like a delicious treat. As a science lover but not a scientist, i imagine the TVA and the citadel in a black hole (how is that even possible but it’s a TV show) where the sacred timeline can be materialized and the universes stuck in that awful temporal loom. I love what it implies about free will, predetermination, evil with good intentions, ordre, chaos… So it’s true, Loki is not the easiest show to watch, even if it has many level of understanding. I watch it with a 13 years old boy who loved it even if he misses many things about psychology, science, history references, but who cares as long as he has fun ?

So im giving the show a chance. Like I said, I think the actors are really trying. I just don't think it's well written. I want to love Marvel. If you ever watch a stream of mine, you'll see I'm surrounded by comics and graphic novels. One of my favorite runs in comic history is Walt Simonson Thor. I will see this show through and be honest if the problems of ep. 1-3 are answered or not. It's mostly a format in trying out since I've never reviewed a show before

I'm fair I don't hate to hate. When people bandwagoned on GotG3 hate I gave it a generally favorable review

So the show is "entertaining". But when you reach the ending, you can't help but say "that's it?" You can enjoy something and still be bad.

I found it to be meh. When I do my follow up you'll see that some of my issues were solved
