I like that she has a kind of cell shading look like the borderlands games. You don't see that style often in custom dolls. The vibrant colors are very mermaidy but she is still unique. ❤

Maybe if I was more intentional about things or tried to avoid something, but I am happy with them so I'll leave it be. Yup! That's another term for them 😚 My sister is a nurse and I think different hospitals/regions call them differently. She said they call them Kelly Grips in hers, but Hemostat is the official name I think!

Thank you! I think it's two kinds of "chunky" yarn. One is Yarn Bee in the "luxe" size, and the other is Lion Brand/HomeTown, both in 100% acrylic. I find the looser the weaving, the easier/better the yarn is to work with. :)

First time seeing narwhal mermaid doll at all, such cool idea, love her pallete too! She gives off so warm, and friendly vibes, and her braids and decors in it gives me some sort ethical/traditional vibes too, it's very cool!
