Stellar blade was unfortunately held hostage by 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 ass Sony in California to most likely censor Eve but the devs put out the same costumes uncensored in all its glory a month later😂 so yeah. It’s the ppl who are behind Nikke who are the definition of sexy women fan service they’re not dumb they know what we want to see but being a PS only release really screwed them. I’m hearing the company went public a couple of months ago which spells doom if we get a sequel because then Blackrock, Vanguard etc. will immediately swoop in & hook their demonic claws onto them. Old ones were copyrighted. The entire reason they remastered the game was to make sure there was nothing that prevented future sales Just get the game on PC the modders will find a way to bring them back

@@kyotanaka920 I also recall the original soundtrack being kinda dissonant due to the copyrighted music (though maybe that was Suda51's point). The super mode music ("Hey Mickey") and the harvester sequence on stage 3 ("You Spin Me Round") being the worst offenders. (The upgrade menu music - "Lollipop" - wasn't so bad.)

Getting the original copyrighted song for remastering or remaking the game is impossible. Too much money has to be poured in.

Yeah I bought a ps3 copy recently bc this one doesn't look that good. They removed the cel-shaded art style, the OST isn't the same but added a censored mode for journalists. The budget did not go to the right places.

​@@welton9748I like riding the chainsaw through the hordes, & just doing the pirouette to cut everyone up. Made things much easier for me, the butt stun def helps when you have to deal with tankier enemies though.

Jimmy is currently in a bunch of legal stuff, hence MSI not being a thing anymore. Even then, the licensing for the OG ost would probably take longer to obtain than remastering itself.

Yeah they replaced the entire soundtrack, which is why the OG has skyrocketed in price. Still looks fun though!

Only from limited run games. But it's not worth it. Cover art don't look that good. And they take too long to ship your product. Even their customer service is bad. In my opinion your better off getting the digital version

People don’t get that limited run doesn’t make the games until after pre orders are done, they think they can place a pre order and get it in 3 days or something

Most famously not shipping it until a few months after the actual game release. So if you want to take your chance with them then go ahead

That's the state of gaming now. People are afraid to touch anything with sexual themes. Stellar Blade is one of the few games in recent memory that wasn't afraid to have a "sexy" protag and costumes. We were never gonna get remake you wanted.

I already own the game I’m only buying it again because I have higher nostalgic for Lollipop Chainsaw than I do for Paper Mario. But I sure don’t wanna spend $50 on it. All love but I think the game had a fun charm and humor. Because you have to purchase combos the actual gameplay is bad. The game doesn’t get good until the second play through. Doubling down on the I really don’t wanna spend $50 on this

​@@xaviersejour9183 The combo actions have been unlocked from the get go. They said as much in the quality of life changes as well as the combo timing. Along with a way to have faster attack speed.

Suda doesn't own the rights to the game this is being done by a completely different company. Some previous Grasshopper employees are on the remaster but not Suda, his team or company are attached.

The Re:Pop mode is the censored mode. Just chose to play the uncensored version, & you should be good to go. I'm guessing since this is like a worldwide thing, they're adding Japan's censored version to this mix. If you bought a Deluxe Japanese copy of the original game, you were given 2 options just like this Re:Pop remaster. Kira-Kira (meaning sparkle sparkle) was the censored version to get past Japan's strict regulations. And Zaku-Zaku (Crunchy Crunchy iirc, meaning in the games instance raw & uncut) which was the American uncensored version of the game. That's why the Re:Pop mode has less violence.

Granted now that they can market this as having less violence, that might make it appealing to some folks who were turned off by the original games gore.
