I met Redbone on a flight from Anchorage Alaska and they were going to my hometown of Juneau for a concert, they were so humble and gracious and were even sitting coach and seeing that I was also Native America they came and spoke with me and asked if I was going to see their show, and I already had tickets to see them, what a great show they gave us. I was so fortunate have that experience meeting them. Will never forget that
Nice job, Michael. Thank you for sharing with all of us. Still listen daily to Lolly, whether it's during his Redbone days or just him and Pat.....RIP Lolly and Tony. Gone too soon.
what a handsome group of men they will be FOREVER" in our hearts, I hope my voice reach so high were they are so they can hear how much they are loved!!!!!
May the Lord grant you everlasting enlightenment and refreshment❤ I thank Lolly for the utmost best advice one musician to another can give if you're in the music business and your A songwriter God bless you rest in peace.love your your cousin Richard
I've just spent the last couple of hours listening to most of Lolly's music both with Redbone and before with Pat and their TV days! It was great but sad at the same time considering I hadn't heard of either his or Tony's passing! It just reminded me that time waits for no one but I was brought here to listen and reminisce fromm days long gone by when I was but an adolescent growing up in SoCal like so many other Latino/Intertribal Americans of the South West! God Speed Lolly & Tony! RIP!
@@BigMoInAZ bigmoinAZ,lolly passed three months after Tony of lung cancer, lolly was a smoker in resida California,he had a stroke in 1995,he could play,so left the band, also an artist. No children
Nice job on the memorial. Quite a history of Lolly and his brother. They should get more attention in the music history. Thanks for doing this video -- Atco
So sorry I'm late to the tribute for Lolly Vegas. I consider "Redbone" to be one of the most under appreciated groups of their era ( "Message From A Drum" for example). I had the opportunity to see them live in Akron, Ohio and even though the set was a mini disaster because of an amp and leslie crash, I still cherish the "I was there " moment. Tony Bellamy too? I'm cueing up the Redbone debut double album, Potlatch, and Message. Thanks Lolly, and Tony; best wishes Pat and Pete.
Still remembered... But their voices Never left us...and their lyrics. THanks so much guys for my youth-memories and still being great to us! Lots of Love and strength to their families, friends and Native-Tribes who loved/knew them. The truth is hard but honest. Let Love and Respect Rule.
