Pineapple juice is a more natural way to tenderize meat and it would minimize the salt.

Perfect looking dish! Yum! When I microwave my corn, after I take it out, I cut off the end (the stalk end) and hold the tassel end. (I use a pot holder or towel.). Pull or pinch the corn out and the silk pretty much all comes off without any picking! Thanks for sharing another fantastic meal! ❤️ ~Sharon

That looks really good, Tammy! Perfect for grilling! Curious, is there a reason you only marinaded half the meat? I have heard of London Broil but have never made it. It is an awesome way to enjoy dinner tête a tête. What about if we cube the meat after marinading and then make shish kabobs? Not as fancy as dinner for two (or maybe it is with leftovers?) This looks like a nice way to *stretch* an affordable slab of beef. Thank you for the inspiration! Love, ya. :0) xo

150° would be the final temp for Medium. All steaks continue cooking when you let them sit (they also retain their juices), and rise usually about 15° so if you want a Medium take that steak out at 135° not 150° what you cooked was a well-done steak.

I thought to get a good grill mark the meat had to be room temperature and meat patted dry of the marinate, and a salty marinate would drawl out the internal moisture?

Is London Broil like Flank steak?it looks delicious
@CollardValleyCooks
@CollardValleyCooks 3 года назад
I think so!
@ElvargsBane
@ElvargsBane 9 месяцев назад
No it isn't. London Broil is a Top Round (upper hindquarters or butt) cut of beef, while a Flank Steak is from the lower belly or groin. The main difference between the two is how much tougher and leaner the Top Round (London Broil) is. Because of its leanness it lacks a bit of flavor and it part in a high use muscle makes it quite tough. That all leads to it being the least desirable cut of the cow AKA cheap. To save it, marinade is a must, and I'd actually cut it even thinner and add a sauce instead of how she (OP, video maker) did. I also prefer it medium-rare not the near medium-well that was done to.

@@irishheart4768 That’s where I started cooking them. Extremely popular there. Nevertheless, LB is a method and not a cut. If it’s a cut, as you say, go ahead and try to find where on a cow LBs come from. The store label means it’s suitable for cooking that way. There’s a video here of a woman who cooks a piece of meat she calls London Broil like a pot roast on high in a slow cooker. Sorry, but that’s not LB! LB should be a flat but not too thin piece of meat that’s been marinated, grilled or broiled to about medium, and sliced thinly across the grain. It’s usually lean and not tough like, say, brisket. I’m not knowledgeable about cow anatomy but know what would work well. Flank steak is one cut that I like which lends itself to that method. Another is skirt steak, which is much thinner and served as fajita.
@irishheart4768
@irishheart4768 Год назад
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt the cow's hind leg (which includes the butt and thight) is know as the beef round. Round Roast, steaks, and London broil all come from this area has do sirlion tip roast sirlion tip center steak. It is cut from the round or leg muscles but the best london broil is the piece cut from the top round. Some people call it top round Roast some don't. God bless
@FrankGutowski-ls8jt
@FrankGutowski-ls8jt Год назад
@@irishheart4768 OK. A variety of cuts from that area can be used. Flank steak, my preference, comes from the abdomen. Did you know that a cow’s front legs aren’t joined to the skeleton by joints? That end is all supported by cartilage.

I have both Rada and Cutco knives. I have to respectfully disagree. I sharpen my Cutco knives and would never give up my Chef's knife. Once a year, I send them in and Cutco returns them to new condition and get them right back to you. I sharpen the Rada knives but it just seems that mine don't hold their sharpness as well. One exception is the tomato knife. That is so sharp it could slice a finger off. I love it. To each their own. Tammy is right, though. Cutco is very expensive but their service is for a lifetime.
