What I want to know is the real FOV when compared to the Valve Index with its lenses adjusted as close to the eyes as possible.

I'm sorry but getting rid of "gamery aspects like dynamic foveated rendering" absolutely does NOT provide a "clearer experience". 🤦‍♂ DFR provides exactly a clearer experience for wherever you are looking at while rendering everything else at a controlled percentage less resolution to provide you with far better performance while maintaining just as clear of an experience. Getting rid of it didn't help anything but the price.
