Diesel has to get bloody hot to ignite so in this scenario, I doubt the tanks would explode at all. Pretty much for dramatic effect other than anything else. Think about a internal combustion engine, it's the compression that causes diesel to ignite not a spark.
If it heats up enough it can explode but very rare depending on Lot's off conditions how much there's in tank to oxygen to fuel fumes as it's London's burning it probably over dramatically
mostly life expired DMS buses. B20's so later type. Poss OJD - R or THX - S registration. Did see a solitary leyland titan there, Probably an early withdrawn one WYW -T reg
@@retrogameru.k3725 ya, George and Recall were most long running characters since George was from season 1 onward and Recall was from season 2 to the beginning of season 14
@@retrogameru.k3725 yep, I completely agree, London’s Burning was the first firefighter show in the UK, it was a big hit and amazing cast and crew, I will simply never forget it
Always got confused by this fire; she (Sarah, the girl who started the fire by accident) gets out of the bus, then.... she's in the bus shouting for help cos she's trapped?
@@trainman86trainstramsandmore Oh I see it now, she got in the bus she thought Charlie was in. Sorry about that, my eyes were a bit blurry few times i watched this, cheers for explaining
A battery could spark if it was bridged by a metal object causing a arc but Lot's off things are dramatic for program even petrol won't explore if it's a full tank it as to have a lot off fumes and oxygen before it does
@@rhysrobertstransportationa1668 thanks for that and sorry for the late reply. I managed to grab a copy on EBay my dad will be happy on his birthday thank you
bit hard to say, given how long the fire was going for and the heat buildup, its possible? trying to think what else it could be because it was a hell of a bang to be anything else.
@@thequietestengine it is strange I thought it was the engine blowing up but I doubt it might have been the batteries triggering the fuel tank to explode
