@@zubair3542 And with good reason. You should consider scene and personnel safety, yes. But firemen have disregarded their own safety for the lives of others, died for it, and got rewarded with medals. Scase violated Sidney, here. When time is against you, you make the most of it.

From what ive heard they were trialing the uniform for the london fire brigade hence why it doesnt say FIRE at the rear of the coat and the radios and torches are on the opposite and around 90-92 the Brigade got them :)
Charlzey1998 I still prefer the one with the yellow leather trousers my dad had them wen he first joined Scottish Highlands and Islands fire brigade now he is still there with new uniforms obs
@@mehistaimsaar1323 yes and they were changed in the aftermath of the king's cross station fire after it was found that uniform simply didn't give good enough protection for the firefighter.
@@mehistaimsaar1323 They were made of PVC and were actually worn over the 'undress' or work rig trousers. They were know as leggings, and had a tendency to melt! I was the procurement manager for Essex F&R at the time and was glad to see the back of them when we replaced them with Nomex based material trousers. The PPE has changed a lot from the woolen fire tunics and cork and resin (yes really) fire helmets.
That Scase is one piece of shit I cannot stand. glad he was put in charge of the car park ay HQ. It means he cannot boss anyone on the fireground anymore. good show.
@@joncocker7970 He thankfully did come the new Area commander that succeeded Bulstrode, after that Scase was reduced to a parking attendant or so I remember.
I know a few 'old hands' from the LFB; a moron like Scase would have been 'promoted out of harm's way', and given a desk job; Bullstrode, for all his faults, was a fair minded bloke, but knew his job ... after the warehouse wall collapsed on Bayleaf and Hallam, he not only took personal charge as IC, but stayed on site until Bayleaf was pulled out, the last one, at least 14hrs later ... that was perhaps the only time in London's Burning, iirc, that a ACFO took charge of a incident ...
