A very busy Biggin (BIG) sector this afternoon. Recorded from 14:50 - 15:00z. This is a little different but its very enjoyable to watch & listen. A like and a sub is appreciated.
This lady is so talented. Blows my mind how she has such good vertical/lateral awareness. I’d be be having a panic attack. These people really deserve so much respect looking after 1000’s of lives whilst we sip of beers and rums onboard.
Outstanding work. It's great to hear such professionalism when the workload is pretty relentless. Very much looking forward to flying in UK airspace soon. :)
RJ Clark I agree, she did a great job - I listen to London ATC a lot and I think they are all totally unflappable! I've never heard them sounding irritated or stressed, and they always speak so clearly. I'm sure they must get quite stressed, especially when it's this busy, but they never show it.
tjf4375 I'm just getting used to London Control, but they're outstanding. Have a massive respect for how they handle themselves. Makes our job much easier when you're dealing with that level of professionalism. :)
london control for all aircraft south of scotland is in Swanwick (New En Route Centre) in Hampshire. the planes only get handed over to heathrow or gatwick approach control when they get down quite low or enter the holding stacks around the VORs (beacons) around heathrow.
@@frankedwardcurry just because the controllers are sitting in swanwick doesnt mean the radio masts broadcasting their voices are in swanwick. NATS has a national network of navigational aids, radars and radio transmitters.
