I mean, it was no London to Glasgow on an overnight bus, but it was still pretty good!!! I'm hoping this video rocks for you like the bus one did so you can balance future content between luxury and torture!!!
Cheers Matt, yep I’ve really enjoyed reading most peoples comments. I’ve added a few words to the ‘comment firewall’ 😂 but overall, the engagement’s been positive 👍
The luxury lie flat bed and nice meals look nice, but I couldn't help get the feeling that in your heart of hearts, you'd prefer to be on a National Express coach!
After 3 flights and countless hours of flying later, you still look less stressed than after your awful bus trip! Will look forward to the rest of the trip, nice to see a little jump in your subscribers too! 👍🍻
Hope you enjoyed Mexico! Proudly called it home for a long time. Thanks for the review, was fun. I'm a regular on the MEX-LHR route and nice to hear other's opinion. 7A is my go-to seat whenever I can get it. You're right about the light meals being good. I've often not asked for them as I tend not to be hungry after having eaten in lounge then eating the first meal. More room for tacos on the way home
I did Thomas and I hope to get back there one day! It was really good to experience some of the ‘real’ Mexico too, if you’ve seen some of my other videos from there, the Cablebus, the coach journey, domestic flights, Acapulco etc - a very memorable time without a doubt 😊👍
Thanks Sean. Yep, the older BA Ying yang configuration but I enjoyed it tbh. Worth it if you get the chance and fly from Dublin - way cheaper than LHR 😊👍
I'm doing DUB-LHR-DFW-MEX / MEX-LHR-DUB in Club in December. You're right, saved well over £1K by not starting the BA itinerary in the UK. Just doing a cheap Ryanair connection either end and a night at the Premier Inn Dublin airport. Still came out ahead.
@@SalehRealistI did book through BA but booked my BA ticket to originate and terminate from Dublin rather than Glasgow. Can’t remember how much I saved but it was more than the Ryanair flight Glasgow to Dublin and the hotel at Dublin airport cost. Works sometimes and sometimes not but worth a look.
I'm a little late to the party with this video. Sorry about that. I love the breakdown of the passenger area that you gave but I would love to have seen more about the other sections of accomodation in Business Class. Especially the dual sections should my wife and I ever get to trravel like that. Keep up the great videos. Thanks.
Cheers Alan, yep, take your suggestions on board for next time. Appreciate the watch and all I would say is this is the old Club World seat and the newer suites, well I haven’t travelled on them yet but will be in September on a 777 down to New Delhi. Watch this space 👍
It's normally best to fly to Stockholm when doing long distance flights across the Atlantic. You can even get a poncy BA economy ticket for the Stockholm leg, or just easyjet.
I paid £26 to get to Slovakia and back in 2017, thats probably the best flight bargain I've had in my life :). Great video as always Mark, nice to see you in a bit of luxury after that megabus journey haha
Never had any discounts but have managed a couple of upgrades, first with JAL who moved me to business class between Sydney and Narita and a second from Malaysian Airlines who moved me from economy to first class why I couldn't tell you but never look a gift horse in the mouth. Glad you had a good flight and hope you had a wonderful time in Mexico, cheers and stay safe.
Cheers Nicholas, I hope you’re right. I’m not due to fly with them in business long haul until September unfortunately but yep, maybe it’ll be even better by then.
Cheers mate. I can’t afford the outlandish stuff some of the well-known RU-vidrs get up to, so relating my content with viewers and engaging with them (eventually!) is more my thing. Thanks for the comment 😊👍
It’s probably the old yin Yang configuration Rish but I thought it was fine, I sat rear facing which was a bit weird at first but you don’t really notice once you’re in the air. Just make sure you’re at a window seat I would say - much more private 👍
Another informative and entertaining video! I wonder, how did you find out that it was cheaper to fly via dublin. Is there a program or website that can find flights like that?
Good Video! I could never sit facing backwards on a plane, I sometimes feel a bit sick on a plane because of the bumps and stuff and that’s facing forwards, I feel sick sitting backwards on a train aswell so as u could imagine I wouldn’t go down well for me sitting backwards on a plane ✈️ 👌👍😂🤢
@@LetsMakeaTrip Lol, btw I recommend riding the 700 Coastliner Bus Route From Portsmouth - Brighton buts it’s in 3 sections, it’s a Stagecoach South Bus Route like an ordinary bus Route but you here to Change at Chichester then Littlehampton (on the South Coast), it’s worth a try for a video in the summer or something
i have for some reason in recent years found out that flying from dublin to europe is cheaper than from Liverpool or manchester , in 2019 we flew on ryanair liverpool to dublin , dublin to madrid and the return from alicante to belfast international then easy jet to liverpool it was about £200 all in , similar in may just gone , ryanair to dublin , then vueling to paris orly , same coming back to liverpool it was about £170 return , when in the UK these flight were minimum £200 one way , its got to be taxes maybe , but dublin seems cheaper .
Yep, although it obviously Costa a bit extra to get to Dublin in the first place, it’s easy enough to transfer and if (like me) it saves you 50% of the cost, it’s a no-brainer. Can even use some avios for the outward flight!
Hi John, it was my first time in long-haul business class so I don’t really have anything to compare it with personally. What would you recommend from those you have flown on?
