What is a place one can truly call home? An abode to savour life's simplest treasures; remember memories past; a speck of light amid a world of dark; warmth to battle the cold. For some it has always been attainable, while others have misplaced their map, or damaged their compass. It could be in front of them and hidden in plain sight. The meaning of home is beyond simple definition. However, most important is once within that sacred space, you are whole. If you’re unable to achieve this, you must change what is necessary until you can. You deserve no less.

Loved this album since the first time listening to it. To me this is the best ambient album I know together with Biosphere's 'Substrata'. And while the whole thing is just great, I especially love the track "Memories past". Not often been personally touched by a piece of music as much as by this one. This chord change at about 09:08 in this video (and later again in this track) every time sends shivers up and down my spine. So subtle yet so powerful. Thanks for this masterpiece!

Just out of interest, does anyone know what book it is? Thanks for the music, I am currently working on my Ph.D. and this is really good for concentrating while reading complicated articles.

The book is "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. The story is about a father trying to find a safe "home" for his son in a post-apocalyptic world. I'm glad to hear the music has been helpful for you. Thanks!

I held off listening to this piece until the right moment, as your music is to be savoured as a fine glass of wine. My dog Aries also enjoys relaxing to your music. After a walk she drifts off and I can almost sense her inner calm..and that tranquility shifts over to me as I start to daydream...Also big fan of Winter Embrace, that album always takes me to a special place...Thank you.

I appreciate your explanation. It makes me feel as if I returned to a largely forgotten home, and after a day reflecting and thinking on the past, I'd have gone to bed and dreamed. Sounds as the very last scene of David Bowman before he becomes "Star Child"... but that's I feel listening to this music...
