------------- DISCLAIMER: The embarkation process has changed since the video was made. You no longer need the vaccine, testing, and masks to go on the shorter cruises. Also, there is no longer that final check-in step with the long counter (shown around the 11:00 mark of the video). -------------

- Where to go if you're dropping off passengers and leaving (as well as returning to the terminal to park after drop off)

A point of safety advice I learned about paid parking anywhere. Always take your ticket with you. That way if someone steals your vehicle, they cannot get out without being tagged for a lost ticket, and they will have to pay the max amount too.

I do my best to be as descriptive and thorough as possible. This is what I am looking for when I do my research as well. The Amazon lockers are mainly used by the Carnival crew to order things they need and have them delivered for pickup in between sailings. I have had a few people mention they have used it for various reasons.

FYI my friend had a suite and they said that the captains lounge could not hear any announcements inside there so they actually missed the announcement that the doors were open

Yes, there are multiple levels to the parking structure. Also, there is that overflow lot that I showed in the video that is available.

So great thank you! I have a question in regards to the VeriFLY app. I have 10 of us and they are all on my app. I assume I can just stand there as the attendant checks everyone in? But my real question is if you or anyone on here has gone with a 2 year old and how it works with the needing to test again at the port? Thank you

Thank you for watching! Yes, they will verify each person as you are standing there. I would HIGHLY recommend bringing paper copies of everything you put in VeriFLY (just in case). With that said, I have not traveled with a young child, so I don't know the answer to your other question.

I got there a little before 10 AM and there was plenty of parking. Every cruise, where I have parked at the cruise terminal, I have found a spot in that first ramp. Granted, I have always arrived early as well. :D

Nope, you can just go park by making the left at the stop sign when you are by the structure.

When I look online to book a scooter at Scootaround the only pick up time at the port is 2p.m. Pick up tome at Queen Mary showd 10a.m. So should I just pick up at Queen Mary??

The Queen Mary is very close to the port, so if that is an option, I would say yes.

I am going on the seven day Carnival Panorama cruise this weekend. I have heard horror stories about using the parking structure when Panorama is in port. People are reporting 2 to 3 hours of waiting to park and to leave the port. Have you heard this? I am scared to park there now lol.

I have not been on the Panorama recently. Last time I sailed (back on October of 2021), it was not an issue. That may have changed with more people cruising now. Are you part of any of the Panorama Facebook groups? If so, have you asked in there?

We have sailed many times from Long Beach. Last cruise was on the Panorama. Since building the parking garage, we have never had a problem with parking. It took about 15 minutes to get out and we were middle of the time getting off, so lots of people off before us, but still a bunch remaining.

@@TheBeachLife Yes, I have asked the Facebook group. The issue was getting to the port and leaving the port. Long wait times. This weekend cruise is at full capacity so I am anticipating long wait times. I haven't found any post from recent cruises. Mostly cruising from a month or more ago. Things have changed since then :)

Yes, this is the parking structure for the cruise terminal. The Amazon lockers are shown towards the beginning of the video (go to the 5:00 mark of the video). The address is: 231 Windsor Way Long Beach, CA 90802

I’m going on my first cruise on May 30th. Do you recommend taking the luggage with me on board or drop it off with the porters?

Drop it off with the porters. You will have to wait until 130 PM to access your room. You don't want to have your luggage with you that whole time as you are trying to enjoy the ship.

Yes, you are allowed to arrive early. If they are not busy, they will allow you to check in before your appointment time. Worst case scenario, you sit outside and people watch. 😃

I’m new cruiser here… What is verifly & do i need to do it? Also do not have passport, & watching other video it said you don’t have to have covid test or vaccinations. So i guess what do i need to have to board?

VeriFLY was something that was being used (thought it was optional) back when you had to present your vaccination card , negative test, etc. It is no longer being used by most (and not even being asked for at the terminal). If you don't have your passport, you will need your birth certificate and a government ID. Yeah, for the most part, it is the same as going through an airport. You will love the Panorama. It is a great ship. Birthday cruises are the best. I just did one for my birthday in June.

You will still select an appointment time when you do your online check-in. If you want to come a little earlier or later, you will just go to the Priority line either way. You will be able to board before the general boarding groups as well.

any advice on bringing my 3yo son who requires a car seat? I was thinking of flying to Long Beach and calling Uber but they don't have car seats or at least I don't see any options on their app. For now, I have to drive all the way from Bay area and will need to park at the structure for $23/day. If you wanted to, you can always bring the car seat with you on the plane, use it on the Uber, and check it with your luggage on the cruise.

Honestly, nobody knows since this was something imposed by the local authorities. Based on that, I would say they are not going to lift that restriction anytime soon. I hope that I am wrong though!! :D

I would highly recommend giving your luggage to the porters to take on the ship. You don’t want to lug them with you. There is no charge, just a tip for the porters.

@@TheBeachLife Radiance, I think the miracle might have been at double capacity and the overflow parking is in a garage just over the bridge in DT. We got an email before hand with the address to the garage. Tons of cruisers were parking there. But something tells me this is a very rare occurrence
