Branyan's homer was ridiculous. Watched the game live and it hit in the furthest section left of the upper deck, about 15 rows deep. Sure 450 ft from home plate but estimated travel distance would have been more like 550. An absolute moon shot

You might have missed one...I was at a game in August 2011 when Brandon Allen of the A's hit one into the right field upper deck...almost the same exact spot Branyan hit his. I was also at a game in the old Stadium (76-08 version) on 9/4/07 when A-Rod hit one around 10 rows deep into the left field upper deck (where very few went). It was not down the line, either...I bet it was fair by at least 30-40 feet. An absolute bomb. My son and I were sitting in the upper deck above the 3rd base dugout and had a great view of the moon shot. It was unbelievable. I think the hardest hit home run I ever witnessed in person was by Jermaine Dye of the White Sox...Retrosheet says it was on 8/2/07. It was off Kyle Farnsworth and was a bullet line drive that smashed off the front of the black center field section. It probably didn't get more than 15 feet off the ground and carried around 420'.
