still the best snowboarding game ever made. wish Nintendo would get the guys who made it to make a new 1080 like it....or a 1080/SSX crossover game like it.....
Hehe, glad to be able to give you some good nostalgia! And yup, that's one of my main goals with these playthroughs, trying to vary up paths and show off some things that many players might not know about, or just not expect. Great to hear it doesn't go unnoticed! :)

I'm DJ Atomica, the eyes and ears of SSX for Spectators and Competitors alike, broadcasting live from my nifty little soundbooth with access to over 262 mountain cams. (Peak 1): Here's some mountain info for those of you out riding today, reports in from Peak 1's high alpine state that avalanche conditions have moved into the extreme. Riders are requested to use caution when venturing out into the back country. (Peak 2): Peak 2 is experiencing the beginnings of storm like conditions. Reports are coming in of strong winds throwing riders around and, apparently beating up some of the trees up there too. Watch yourselves people. (Peak 3): Just got off the phone with Peak 3 Ski Patrol, sounds a bit dangerous up there. There's a few sightings of crevaces and huge ice chunks breaking away, that's... never good. You better be prepared. (SSX events summary): It's taken event organisers 2 years to turn this mountain into the ultimate SSX Championship. Riders will be charging hard down these newly designed never before seen racetracks where the terrain borders on the insane! New events like Slopestyle will be pitting riders against a host of constructs, where competitors will snake the best lines through the wildest tracks to perform legendary tricks. Without a doubt abilities will be pushed to the max in the Big Air events, riders will be going harder and higher than anything seen before. This year's one of a kind Superpipe events will be like no other, riders will have to throw it up HUGE to win these babies. SSX Big Mountain, you gotta love it! (Riders) New to this year's circuit is the uber talented Allegra Sauvagess, mountain man Nate Logan, stylemeister Viggo Rolig & boy wonder Griff Simmons. In addition a few of the SSX veterans have returned, Amazon bombshell Elise Riggs, hiphop seemster Mac Fraser and crowd favourite Zoe Payne to name a few. Enough talk! It's time to ride. I just want to say thank you so much for making this video. It transported me back to my childhood. This game was so special. Everything about it, the attention to detail, the characters, the soundtrack, the DJ, the dialogue. What a masterpiece. I just sat in awe watching this entire video. I also love that when you ran the same track back 2 or 3 times that you took different routes for each trial. This vid was so awesome I have the biggest grin on my face.
I don´t know what´s stopping them to remake it. It doesn´t take long to make sports games compared to other games. They can even use dlc and pay to win, I wouldn´t mind as long as they make a similiar game to this with updated graphics. They could easily do this!
In my opinion, Elise's short crop surfer-like hairstyle from SSX Tricky (which is unlockable) looks cuter than her ponytail from the original game (which is the default in SSX 3). The former always complements her style.
That's honestly so cool! My gf sadly didn't really resonate with this game. I have a whole lifetime to convince her though >:3 keep rocking it you two!

A few things: - How did you get music other than "Go" to play during the intro cutscene? That might be useful for something. - They added an Xbox controller diagram during the loading screens, but it loads too fast for you to read any of it. - Those pre-rendered cutscenes are so easy to get playing correctly, how did they mess that up? - It feels refreshing actually seeing the textures for a change.
1) I think you asked me this on the last longplay, actually... there's a music cheat that I mess with to set up the soundtrack so the video doesn't get in copyright trouble. When you enable this cheat and set up a custom list, I think it just picks a random song to play. :P 2) Yeah it's kinda funny, they could just as well have removed that from the original version, but guess they didn't bother. 3) Yeah I guess it's because those are videos I believe, so since they just brought those over from original hardware, it hasn't been fancied up like the rest of the game. Maybe. 4) Hahah, no doubt! ^^
Honestly, guys... there may be something fundamentally wrong with me. I'm starting to consider seeing a doctor for my unhealthy SSX 3 addiction... but every time I do, "Go" by Andy Hunter plays in my head and I lose all self control. I just cannot help it anymore. Nah but for real, I don't think so. Honestly, even though I need a break every now and then, I make sure to take a break precisely so I avoid getting permanently tired of it. If you need a break from a game and still keep pushing, that's when you're at risk of getting permanently sick of it. I make sure that'll never happen B) And yeah Jasper, I probably do... I kinda wish there was an hour counter for this game just like on Steam, just because it'd be fun to see.
i liked the art style and music of ssx tricky better, but maybe i need to try ssx3 again, i never owned it myself so i probably didn't get to play all the fun stuff

Do you mean performance? The game performs pretty well on all Xbox One systems, this was done on a base Xbox One and I've seen gameplay of both S and X variants, so I would assume surely it has to run at least as well on Series consoles. I can't guarantee that 100%, but I feel confident in saying it should run pretty well!
@@andreashusfeldt1809 Hmm unfortunately I can't confirm that, I only had one controller. I'd imagine you most likely can, I don't think they'd remove that feature. Not sure if your Xbox Store or your country has any sort of buyer's rights where maybe you can return the game in the first hour or two if you find out it doesn't have split screen. If not, you might just have to gamble on that unfortunately.
