It was a beautiful day to visit Longwood Gardens on Monday, and so that's what we did! We had reservations at 3:00pm at "1906", the fine dining restaurant within the gardens. And we had just enough time to take a quick explore through the Conservatory and down the main flower walk. Come with me and see the beauty that is Longwood Gardens!

Happy Birthday Jenny! Thanks for taking us alone for the tour. I haven't been there for about 5 years. My home state of Pennsylvania has some beautiful gardens. One of my favorite in the area is actually in NJ. Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ is amazing. Have you been there? If not please add it to your list. Love you channel

I about died when I saw that mullien. It is an extremely invasive weed here in SD. We spend hours trying to eradicate it from our pasture. Thanks for sharing your visit with us, Jenny.

I like orange flowers when combined with pink, yellow, and white (a sunny, cheerful blend). But I don't like red flowers for the very reason you stated- too hot looking.

I like orange and magenta together, strangely, but not orange and red. I like red and dark purple together though. It's funny how different color combos affect us in different ways!

We are so fortunate to live close to Longwood. We have several gardens in Delaware that are noteworthy. Mt Cuba, Winterthur and Namours are all beautiful. Happy Birthday! We will be celebrating my husband's birthday at 1906 soon. 1906 is amazing. Its farm to table menu never disappoints.

Happy Birthday, Jenny! Thank you for the tour - what a beautiful series of gardens, and so easy to see why it's one of your favorite places. If you're ever in the Midwest, please try to see the Missouri Botanical Gardens. It's only a fraction of the size of Longwood but is one of the jewels of St. Louis. The Japanese Garden there is my favorite place in the city.

Verbascum is native to our area here in Pa,NJ & De zone 7a. I see them only recently planted purposely & rarely in the past few years b/c they are seen growing wild along “weedy” road sides🤣. I grew them from seed in different colors, so far still growing their leaves😆

I feel exactly the same in a red and orange garden, hot and slightly irritable, isn't that weird? I love white and purple gardens. We moved to our new house last July. It has azaleas as foundation plants that were not in bloom. They bloomed early spring and of course they are red🙄. Happy birthday!!

That place is just fantastic. So many beautiful and unique varieties. Thank you for taking us along for this great visit. I had never heard of this place until you showed it to us in your other video. So glad you had such a nice birthday dinner too. Don't forget to put the Mitchell Park Domes in Milwaukee on a future visit to Minnesota. I really enjoyed this video so much

@@HarmonyHillsHomeandGarden The new one not only lacks character but isn't cohesive with the overall landscape design there, which was done professionally. From the photo it looks like a basic glass greenhouse you would find at any local nursery.
