The basement is always a good place for another room. My parents had one and l love to go there to watch my favorite TV show. Looks good Mr Scott!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Scott, if you have room next to the washing machine, put in a plastic laundry tub sink. It should be easy to tie into the existing plumbing. Then you can bring things in from the truck, wash them, sell them, pack them and put them back in the trunk, all from the basement. I used to wash glassware in my laundry sink and dry them on old towels on top of the washer and dryer. It was great for punch bowls and large vases. I could also soak grubby glass there and not tie up the kitchen sink or the bathtub.
I am just so happy you are out of the city. You are safer in Jersey. It's okay to visit Philadelphia, but I'm glad you are safe in a nice neighborhood in the 1925 bungalow.
Scott, I am loving your new basement set-up! It looks so inviting! Will you be setting up your Dad’s train set this year? I really miss you & Salem when you would be putting it together. 🐈⬛🚂🛤
Your 1930's living room looks great. I love it. When you first gave us a tour of your new house, you said you would like to have evrrything for your business in the basement. It is so exciting that you have accomplished it. 😊😊😊
So practical to operate Old Curiosity Shop out of the basement. And broadcasting from the 1930’s living room gives us a glimpse of more of your fabulous collection.
I highly approve of your new workflow and keeping the tonnage out of your personal living space. I would love to see more videos from your 1935 living room and the basement. See you at 9!
Can’t wait to see the vintage tree in your new studio space . I love it ,so practical for your business the area you have created. And yes cosy too lol.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 The entertainment industry doesn’t deserve your talent or knowledge. If anyone could decorate an old basement and make it look as cozy and inviting as it does, it would be you. Love the space. Love the channel. Please don’t ever change anything.
Hello Scott, you have created such a warm and inviting space, your home has come together so nicely, I am waiting for your kitchen reveal and Christmas decor🤓 those fish are beautiful! Happy house Anniversary , I am sure she is glowing with all the love that you have put into Her💖🙏
I am over the Moon in love with your 1930's Living Room! I recognize (from previous videos) all of the pieces of furniture/lamps that you've decided to decorate with and the way you've arranged everything is perfect! Oh, and let us not forget that stunning Maxfield Parrish print hanging behind you... I had wondered where that ended up! See you later for the Two Chaps Live! xoxo
@@oldcuriosityshop265 You and I are also a bit old and worn, but we still look great! Also, you have the talent of a set decorator/set designer with regard to creating 'period/era' rooms! 😍
Love that double-socketed lamp! Would look great on my end table too! Also looking forward to seeing the bungalow all decked out for the x-mas holiday! Will the décor include your old Lionel train set as well?
I’ve been wondering about the status of your basement living room since you previously posted your video about your plans to setting it up. It looks fabulous and will be very efficient for your reselling business.
Your 1930s era corner is fantastic! In fact that is what I’m doing in my spare bedroom, a 30s/40s room. My husband is collecting WWII items. The one thing I’m putting in there is my retro Indiana Jones poster (framed). Wow, I adore your basement!💕✨
That's a cozy looking corner for your 1930s treasures AND studio space! I hope your internet connection can find you down there. It's relaxing and functional for you at the same time. Now all we ask is a video from that well appointed kitchen of yours. Peace and Blessings everyone 🏡🍂🦃🐈⬛
I really like this “Live Sale Cozy Corner”…I’m wondering how the wall hangings were hung as the walls look pretty solid. Vaughn Monroe is best remembered for his “Ghost Riders In the Sky”…Mom and Dad liked “Ballerina”. If I’m not mistaken, Vaughn also had a #1 song with the original “Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow”. Best of luck tonight on sales!
Hi Scott ! Just wanted to let you know that Crazy for Retro mentioned your channel on her newest video entitled Big Fall thrift haul. She was complimenting you on your beautiful cruet display. She & her husband are Wonderful people. Can't wait until she does her Big Christmas display of things they have collected over the years and are still collecting from thrift stores. They put things together So Beautifully ! They have a large collection of vintage colored glass items. Their house always looks so festive as they decorate for each season.
What a beautiful picture of your mom !!! Love the basement, looks so vintage, my favorite was the green glass lamp, FDR and the chair and the radio and 😂😂😂
Fabulous items, Scott ..... Just Wonderful .... And, all originals items. Must give you great satisfaction if you have sourced them all yourself .... 👏👏👏😉
Dear Scott, this was such a treat! The living room/production line is genius. Effeciency at its best. Everything will flow so much easier for you. Loved the bookend fish and side table light. Go change and I'll see you and David @ 9. Jersey Ann from NJ🐠🐠
Aha! Walkout basement is so practical! My Omaha Nebraska 1926 bungalow has a fully underground basement with concrete block walls and it sits around 50 during the winter with the vents fully open. Brrrr!! Your ambience is so 1930s homey. Well done.
Scott. Brilliant move. I am originally from NO, La., and I had a 2 story. I now live in Colorado, and my 2 story is called a walk out basement. Just depends on where one lives. Love your channel. Vaugh Monroe was a true coroner ( spelling?) tfs cheers😊
Hi Scott just love your 1935 boglo is awesome you have such beautiful treasures loved the fish bookends looking forward to seeing your decorations for Christmas time always injoy watching take care
I listen to 40's Junction channel of Sirius and they play Vaugn Monroe and many other great voices. Great way to make car traveling a lot more pleasant!
1920s-1940s has always been my favorite era so, I’m glad you showed up in my feed for some reason! Love the homes, the decor, the fashions, the nice manners, the sense of family and community! Your 1935 living room looks so much like an English country stone cottage. Wonder if you could do some kind of cement style finish on the walls to definitely finish that English country stone cottage look if that’s your style. Will have to go binge watch some of your old videos!
Hi Scott. Granny Pat told me to watch you. She was so excited that you mentioned her on your show. So I watched your live show and that's all it took. Now I love love love your channel. You are so lighthearted and entertaining. Also, I am learning a lot about vintage glass, etc. You add so much happiness to my life, just like Granny Pat. Thank you for such great videos. Your house is awesome. Love your decorating. Have a great day. I will be tuned in. Shirley from Hanover PA
Happy Anniversary in your house! What a great idea to set up downstairs for your sales. Hope you will be able to get a sink in there to make life even easier for you.
Yes.....I have your swan! Don't worry.....I did not resell it. Ebay archived it so I had to go and dig to find the original price. Sending in the next few min.
