I love her new cut! I agree with you, it really shapes her facial features. She is beautiful. Since you do a lot of videos on fine, thin hair…it would be nice to do a video with someone who has fine thin hair, and baby hairs. Thank you for your tips and videos! I have started doing some things you suggest (for my fine thin hair) and they work. My struggle is baby hairs. I tend to pull my hair back behind my ear or else it looks funny as my baby hairs pop out. Also, I don’t ever see you teasing hair. Is that the thing of the past? I don’t really do it, but so many people do…

She has a great facial structure so she’d look great no matter what. A Bob is universal as well as normally in style in some shape or form. Justin, I was in awe as you PERFECTLY described my bob haircut bad experiences 😢 I have fine hair and I'm to the point that I just do one length to avoid that all but still hate my hair! What to do in NH? I've explained this all to hairdressers but I'm have a hard time finding anyone that has the ability.

Yeah..I hear ya! I have tape in extensions to help with a LITTLE more volume not length! My stylist watches for damage..says they protect my hair, no breakage.

@@selectiveoutrage6617 not really. When removed the adhesive is dissolved by a formula so they just slip off. Clip ins … try hiding them when the wind blows. And they tug on the roots. Invisible tape ins are so easy, lightweight and are so easily blended with real hair. Most ladies want length, I just wanted a slight increase in volume.

You are doing here EXACTLY what I want with my hair!!! I am going to insist that whoever cuts my hair next watch this first! I have fine, but thick, hair with a very slight wave, and require lots of texturizing when I get this cut. Most stylists just don't know how to achieve this with my challenging head of hair. My hair cut almost always take twice as long as anyone anticipates, I suppose due to the amount of hair on my head. I often end up with messy layers, too much bulk, not enough shaping, the front pieces not tidy or shaped enough... I am busy, athletic, and wear my hair up most of the time -- especially at work in "professional" environments and need something fast, effortless, shaped, cute, easy-to-manage hair that can be air-dried or with minimal round-brush drying and/or straightening. This is a brilliant video, addressing all the issues and it will help me get a better cut next time, I am sure. Thanks again! (And please let us know if you guys decide to take a trip to Lapland. I am waiting for my perfect cut and color :)

What's the difference between texturizing the ends and point cutting?

Great question. Point cutting is technically a way of texturizing the ends but it’s a bit less aggressive. However, it can also leave a choppy look where using texturizing shears on the ends tends to blend things better. I actually point cut all layering I do, then go through after the hairstyle I’d dry and use texturizing shears to texturize the ends again to ensure there’s no extra bulk or choppiness left behind from the point cutting.
