Today I head off into the wilds to search a area littered with exciting pottery and fragments of history . It was a great day. We had a lot of fun in the mud and found some nice stuff.

Can't believe that you left the extremely rare cottage ink behind (mega find worthy of display) ......... Broken or not, still a great find. I would be extremely excited to find any of the bottles you guys find. Keep up the great work saving history for future generations.

What you're making is called a Diorama. It's basically a 3D piece of Artwork. I think it's a great use of some of you're finds. It did look very atmospheric, with echoes of Victorian times. Well thought out Adam. It's simple but effective.

Lovely Jovely Adam! I love the little slab of wood with bovril candle Shippams paste pot..shells stones, pipes etc so Rustic! I think your little shed is Bonza, your own Space. I really like Shippams paste pots, so many shapes and sizes and styles, I sigh when mudlarkers dont bother to pick them up. We have no mudlarking places in Australia, our country is too young. No ancient dump sites to look for bottles. Lucky you!

Hi Adam. I was able to spend a day on one of the pottery beaches in Sheppey last week. Found some nice shards for crafting. Feel like I need a spare month to explore all the rivers and beaches! You are lucky to live there, never a dull moment.

I would have picked up the house ink well displayed with an airplane plant at the open end would look awesome also the stone pot with makers mark. Just a little suggestion that direct heat from the candle can make the clay brittle in the pipes. Just move that long one over like you first had it and I think your precious irreplaceable pieces of history won’t get damaged. It just shifted when you had picked them up and it fell close to the flames great lark good going

The PLA, have stopped permits for a while due to distruption of the river thames forshore. So i would reccomend tilbury in essex on the river thames, there is a bottle beach there.
