Looking For A Mass Grave 

Beautiful old cemetery! A shame it isn’t taken care of. Just needs the grass cut. So much history! 1700 stones should be preserved for future generations. Thanks for your long wet walk to bring this to us💕.

I use to watch you when you were Irish Eyes. You often were with a lady who’s name I forgot. I am old now and will never be able to travel to Ireland again. The grave is my next destination, or the crematorium. Your videos are a strange comfort, as you care about the deceased and their last resting places. Bless you dear man. Gods grace be with you.

What a wonderful place to visit. Eve though its over grown it still very beautiful. It's very sad that there was so much tragedy. So sorry that it was so hard to get to the graveyard, but I love you for trying. Lovely shot of the ponies and donkey. What a great way to spend my birthday. Wonderful video. I'm enamored with the old cemeteries with graves from the 1700s. What a horrible story about the wreck of the Pomona, but glad at least some had a resting place together. Thanks for getting through this one. I'd NEVER be able to negotiate all that grass and bumpy/rolly-poly hillside! 😊

It's a beautiful old graveyard but it's a pity that they don't kleen it. There is so many history in this old graveyard and it should be preserve.❤❤❤❤

My Goodness GV! You really do go to some lengths to record and share these old graveyard with us, and the history leading up to this was so sad…all those lives lost, because the captain was proven intoxicated. That’s dreadful. And then such a sad uncared for little place…I was quite shocked at first..think I was expecting a lot more stones, but then maybe families of some who drowned took them away to be buried in their home graveyards, perhaps they were not all buried here as it seemed to say ? Some of the carvings on those stones were incredible, going back to the 1700’s…lasting longer than even modern ones seem to do! It’s very very sad that nobody has shown any interest in keeping it tidy..maybe more hidden graves under that large gorse patch at the far end ? They need to put some goats or sheep in to get the grass down. Good grazing there, then maybe a volunteer rotation to strim later . Maybe. Even the vault looked abandoned. You both went to such great lengths, almost scuba diving in parts, which we all truly appreciate. I hope people living there may be shamed into doing something about it as a result of this video when they are lucky enough to have so much history on their doorstep. It was Anastasia GV, sometimes the s was written as an f! Very confusing when trying to read very old records, lol. A couple of goats would sort all that grass out in no time. Thank you for sloshing through to show us those lovely 1700s stones, and that poor veteran all on his own. At least the Pomona disaster hasn't been forgotten, with the plaque as a reminder. A significant amount of 1700 headstones. Loved seeing the donkey and two ponies as you were enroute to the cemetery.

Anastasia was the name. In those days some funny looking letter "f"s were actually the letter "s". This persisted in Britain right up to the end of the Victorian era. God bless your travails for us.

A beautiful Cemetery but sorry to say how sad it looks nobody taking care of it. Also with those historical connections that are buried there I am very surprised but not surprised that there was nothing done to keep it clean. Hopefully you didn't catch a cold with those shoes and God bless you have a great day.

I'll guess that empty looking spot, between gravestones, and that one stone by itself, there's graves there, either unmarked, or the headstones have fallen down and covered up with vegetation. Thanks for another great video, and again, thanks for working so hard to bring us these videos. Btw, I like your red shoes!

Great place. Were they all buried in a mass grave? I had 6 inches of rain in a week and a half now the field is 2 feet tall so I get why the grass is so tall there. Y'all need boots. Maybe rubber boots. Hey from Texas❤️

Wouldn't take much for the city council to mow the grass! Or even some town folk? We have volunteers at our cemetary to keep it weed free.

The Ana faffia name is i think actually Anastasia. Hard to read because it's split in two and has very stylised lettering which they used in those days.

Such a tragic story. They just wanted a new life here in the U.S. So sad.😭

The crypt and headstones 🪦 were very interesting, too bad the overgrowth is so bad, I guess the graveyard does not have a regular grounds crew to keep it up.
