I've worked with the FDA including audits of companies I've worked for. They are more concerned that you are meeting quality standard policies than the actual product. I've been on a journey of reading labels and trying to avoid bioengineered and GMO foods. This eliminates most products anymore. So, lots of growing my own, making my own, shopping for organic products and supporting local farmers and ranchers.
Wow! Let me know if you'd like to come on the podcast to talk about your experiences with FDA audits! I find this all so fascinating. Sad but fascinating.
This is the most frightening "new" information I have heard in a while. If this cannot spur us on to grow and make our own or patronize those who do the same, I don't know what will. Chilling information to give the public some false sense of confidence in our food supply. Thank you, Michelle...Blessings, Marie
Thanks, Michelle, that was so interesting and informative. I've known for several years that there are many additives that aren't good for us and, even if something is on the list of ingredients, it may be under a different name. so---pray even for and about your food. Thanks again.🥰
agree, i've know for almost a decade now that I needed to be cautious of processed food ingredients but this dive into the history and lack of any real meaning behind "generally recognized as safe" ingredients blew my mind.
