Beautiful.. Listening too this as a young kid Wow.. I'm 47 now . And I'm still In love with 70s n 80s music.. And at times it makes me cry.. What happen too those days ??? It is so deeply missed...
Your love's inside of meeeeeeee. Come and rescue me. OMG!!! I love this song with all my soul. The 80s were the SHIT!!! Thumbs up if you were privileged to experience it;-)
Bentleys Was The Club To Be At Back In The 80's In New York When this song was banging.. Mike Tyson..Knicks Players...Everyone who wanted to be seen was at BENTLEYS
This song was always played on New York 's best R&B station WBLS when I was in high school. I use to listen to it after school while during homework 📚... Brings back a lot of memories...
I feel you, Pam. This song brings back a specific memory of the summer after high school graduation, right before I left for the army, sitting in my car in Jersey with this girl I'd been trying to get close to for the longest time... listening to "BLS" and this song comes on. The rest is history. She's no longer with us, but I'll never forget.
We are all related in a hood way...this music confounded us from east to west....this jam seems different played in the a.m hours like 3 or 4...takes us to that special place
Fantastic! Even in 2022 this track will slay! There is no comparison. The sax and female vocal is to die for. Loose Joints was and is the ultimate! Mad respect to the UK. They know music!
OMG! 1984 and still ain’t no group in 2020 to rival Loose Ends This sounds just as fresh as it did back in 1984 and will bring out the best in any dancer. Just Sublime!
@@Musicfiend4ever before I knew who it was I thought they were the loose ends with a new lead singer, after Jane left the group, but it's Angie Stone singing lead...
Thank Philly producer Nick Martinelli for the smooth groove of this ,and a number of their other great songs. A perfect melding of talented performers and excellent production..
Not really an ultimatum. Actually, it's "Choose me baby, don't loose me", opposed to, "or loose me". But I hear you on that paradise island vision. Loose Ends one of my all time fav R&B groups to this day.
in 1984 I sleeped all night long with FM radio ON .....suddenly this track start to play and mixed with my dreams..... owww i´m not crazy, but i can say a thing: really good tracks move our soul, this is so much spiritual for me. SUPERB TRACK !
The sax intro introduced and made me fall in love with contemporary jazz. Growing up in the south Bronx the lyrics resonated with me. Deep song, makes me cry.
Rinsed this hard at the youth club...I was around 10 years old and used to slip into the senior group where my ear was tuned very quickly to quality music. Big up the UK soul scene for this unique British soul.
I believe this song hit New York radio in 1985 even though it was produced earlier. I think Loose Ends "A Little Spice" album came out in 1984 but hit the states in 1985 and on New York radio as well. and i fell in love with group ever since,i became a total fan. I bought thier "cassettes" everytime they came out with another album and i had thier albums too LOL! those were the days....
Choose Me (Rescue Me)....awesome song..." when I'm laying in the gutter/when I'm down and out" I have the most positive memories with Loose Ends! My little 4 year old loves their music too! We are grooming her to have an eclectic ear for the music she enjoys!
Man I heard this song the other day at work with a smile on my face. Haven't heard this song since it was put out. Yes Kiss FM and Wbls play this to no end.
Don't know why certain memories just stay with you. I'll never forget that day, freshman year in high school was coming to an end - final week, maybe. That girl, a graduating senior, in the student lounge singing this song spot on. I never heard it. I wasn't cool yet. Later that night it came on the radio. I sat in my room alone. I smiled... I knew then I loved my high school and that those years would be memorable. It's just icing on the cake that Loose Ends were the music playing in the background of many of my fondest high school memories. "There's no doubt in my mind that all good things will come in time"... Everyone wants to be rescued.
i was born in 1976 im 39 now when this came out i was around 7 or 8 when this came out i glade to be a 70s baby and a 80s kids i was bless in the right generation to experience this
A Timeless Classic. That Sax, Bassline and Female Vocals A Killer!! The Year Was the Spring Of 1985. I was The Program Director For WMXY in Georgia at that time and this song wasn't even a single yet. But I had this cut in Heavy rotation from the album, that just how Big & Great of Song It was (Choose me or Lose Me)...
Im sitting with my son and he brings up Loose Ends...he's 21 so I say chile they were the **** BACK IN THE DAY...this IS my FAVORITE song by them...CLASSIC..still LOVE them...they should do a reunion!!!!!!!
As A Young Man In My Early Twenty's My First Studio Apartment, Lady Friends Coming Over, Wine, Food And Fun. This Song Playing In The Background. Some Of My Fondest Memories.
I remember keeping a tape in the stereo to record this off the radio 98.7 kiss fm in about `84. I just played it all the time cuz it felt good. happy times. where has musicianship gone?
Grew up on this Jam. Respect to WEDR 99 Jamz Miami. Kept me on the loop back in the early 80's. Loose Ends is a Classic example of what Beautiful Music should be. One of my All Time Favorite Groups. Yessuh. ;) LOL
IT'S NEW Years Eve 2023, heard this on the radio for the first time. I was like, this has to be "Loose Ends" so I went to Google "Come Rescue Me" is the name of the song and the group is " LOOSE ENDS" HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
They don't make them like this no more....... Classic 80's music...... It's just a fact!! Ask yourself in 2016 there are NO bands or Groups anymore...80 percent of these "singers" today are entertainers using music as a come up.
oh please. I like loose ends but they didn't even produce their own hits. Nick martenelli produced most of their top songs. Mint condition does their own stuff so try again
wow i really loved this in the rare groove days but i had no idea it was Loose Ends till recently! love it to the max my favourite because of memories it brings back
