I decided to try HM Vortakth today (using HellHound). 4 dearhs and 4 kills. Very challenging boss, but I feel like I already have a much better grasp of what needs to be done. It’s a lot about understanding the use of the Ballista, using appropriate defensive, and just pumping out a lot of DPS. I think once I get some more practice in, it won’t be that bad of a fight! Ty for the video Init!!

Congrats on the loot my man! Lord of bones i think is kinda useless but i use it for bosses at I don’t have 100% accuracy on.. found it useful for stuff like nex, rago and stuff like that

You definitely got lucky on the codex. Both it and the Vork scale are on the same drop table at a 1/125 rate to get either one, so a 1/250 for a specific one.

How does duos or trios impact drops? Would it speed up kills/reduce difficulty due to boss not only targeting you/improve gp/hr?

Scales just like raksha, and each player gets a spike mechanic. Assuming both players did the same as solo, it would be the same :) (that being said, zem only focuses one I think)

I mostly duo HM Vorkath (got around 400 kc ) and can confirm that zem only focuses 1 player (this player is tanking zem)@@InitYeah

duo or up is imo worse since balista doesnt oneshot the special minions anymore you can deal with it but asuming you can solo imo so is the way to go

I'll try vorkath once combat change goes live, need to get better at pvm, and the normal mode giant kill requirement just feels bad and puts me off

My guess is that AOD is currently best money making boss in game, and LoB is very useful there. So high level AOD groups are scooping up the codex.

I am almost certain it's not worth it using necromancy and is designed to be killed with the nexus so either range or melee.. i duno if mage has a weapon that doesnt need the slot pouch to fire. I guess you could just equip the nexus and invent the pouch for the runes.

The costs are pretty low considering I used kalg and Jas tbh. But the rares aren't so uncommon that you cant expect it. Spikes are actually only 1/15, so I was right on drop rate for those.

its at least worth it compared to normal mode's loot both in average kill and inn drop rates.
