The only place I see abs getting real use is at zammy, and since fsoa lost its recursive crit, I don't see it being nearly as strong elsewhere. Iban is nice because it fits in sun rotations much easier, as it's just a 1 gcd abil

One thing to keep in mind tho is 10% base crit chanche, so abs is much cheaper than it used to be per cast on average even with the removal of recursive crits

zammy would probably be the best one just because of how many rare relics you can get per hour, even at low enrages. if you need other materials from AG then the GP is a very nice side benefit

I usually aim for 2 sgb, 2 rapid, a tendrils and as many dark bows as I can fit in. Snap is a nice one for lining up bolg stacks as well

I did some math, and it looks like it varies depending on the enrage/streak length. Granted, this is estimated and not tested in game, but still. (Some of these numbers are rounded and don't match the wiki exactly, but they should be very close and are internally consistent). I assumed that time/kill scales directly with the AG's HP. This should be pretty accurate until 2500%, with the only potential wrinkle being the bolstered glacyte. But it also takes longer to teleport in and out for more kills, so maybe they offset. Anyway... A 45 streak gets you to around 500% enrage, and takes around 68x as long as one 0% enrage kill. In this same time, you could do around 34 kills at 500%. The streak will get you an average of .184 rares, and the claiming gets you .204. Around a streak of 115-120, they even out, then streaking starts to be better. (And it was better in terms of commons the whole time, but that's beside the point). Maybe assuming that time/kill scales directly off of HP is a flawed assumption? Hard to say. But based on that, claiming is better for specifically hunting for rares, unless you can streak to around 1300%.

@@seejoshrun1761 I think your time estimate is maybe off some? Maybe, mine could be as well. The lower enrage kills are disproportionately faster. Could be the bolstered glacyte as you mentioned. A 45 ks would be a lot faster than 34 kills claiming at 500, for me at least. A 0% kill is like 40-60s depending on the first mechanic, with even much lower outliers like 25-40s if the hits land and it's flurry mech. Even at 500% my kills are twice this length if not a bit longer, like 80-100s (I'm definitely not doing top tier dpm) but it only has like 50% more hp? My estimate on time has always been streaking to some enrage takes the same amount of time as claiming at that enrage over half the kc. Roughly at least. Thr outliers will kinda break it, but the large swath in the middle seems to follow it. Either way, it's still REALLY close if you're correct and going forward from there it becomes disproportionately favored for cores on the streak. Run your same analysis on 1k claims vs streaking to 1k. Also a benefit of the streaks people want to ignore is the loot is significantly better and a lot more nihlas. It's also what creates the paradox of streaking till you die being the best loot for commons over claiming when you feel you're pushing it. The extra 10 kills or whatever you'd get after you'd have claimed will probably more thsn cover what you'd lose if you died. In any case though, it would be interesting to see side by side over play sessions over a longer period of time. Have someone streak to 1k 5 times then take that amount of time and average it and do claims for that amount of time. From there compare the expected rates.

@jlayman89 You're probably right that the early kills are disproportionately faster, or alternatively that later kills are disproportionately slower. I think what we've determined is that, at worst, streaking is only slightly worse than claims when it comes to rares, which is outweighed by being better for commons and nilas.

it's kind of complicated to calculate. the main reason is that kill times don't scale linearly with enrage; the longer the fight takes, the more mechanics you'll get, which slows the kill down more, which gives you more mechanics... it's a compounding effect. you'll also spend more and more time on using defensives as well. this is all pre 2500% as well, after that it gets even worse as arms and minions start gaining hp. i used the wiki calculator briefly and it does look like streaking from 0 to x enrage seems to be a better ROI on time than doing x enrage claims, but it feels like starting streaks from a higher enrage should be better, but i'm not sure

Man I'm nearing 2k kc and Ive seen 2 so far. I generally streak 0-750 or 1k but I guess I need to be pushing that out further. God its just so mind numbing streaking 4 hours only to graze an ice pillar and appear in deaths office

@@SeniorsOWthis is me 1000%! Idk why but usually when I get around the 500% enrage portion, I misstep an ice pillar for half a second and I’m dead.

@@letouge yeah thats just dumb unlucky if youre at 1900 hm kc and youre mostly streaking to 1k. Thats nuts. Maybe the bigger problem we need to talk about is the god fucking awful gw3 drop rates everyone tries to justify. 40 hours to get 1/3 of an FSOA is ridiculous.

streaking to 1k enrage isn't worth your time since the drop rate for cores below 1k-1.5k are so bad. literally just streak as far as you can, only stop once you get a core or hit 200 streak or die

Melee camp is very difficult for arch glacor, as mentioned in the methods category. as enrage goes up, berserk becomes difficult to survive with. Last I saw, necromancy was doing anywhere from four to six minutes at silver enrage and up, so could be something to look towards. I forgot to mention poison builds with ranged camp being very fast aswell in the higher enrages, could be something to look into. (I think it holds the WR for 2000% at ~3minutes) Never said this was an easy method, and personally I think that's the beauty of glacor. It teaches true improv and adaptability at a PvM encounter, and the skill ceiling is borderline infinite. Keep at it fam, you'll get better at the boss as time goes on. Stuff like this doesn't happen overnight :)
