It's frustrating to see a podcast invite an amazing guest like Lord Jamar, only to constantly overshadow him with the host's own commentary. We tuned in to hear his insights and experiences, not the host's monologues. Please, give your guests the spotlight they deserve!

I agree, that's why you don't come back for a second listen with another guest.

Hip Hops Dick Gregory. The true Hip Hop historian. Lord Jamar has proven time and time again that he’s cut from a different from the rest. This brother says what needs to be said while everyone else sits on their hands like fuk’n cowards!!

Gotta agree. She's not allowing anyone to expand on a full thought. Maybe she'll read this and adjust accordingly. I don't agree with not having her back

100% , she was low key annoying LJ with her babbling & rude interruptions. She is full of herself too for no reason, talking about her SAT score when she clearly ain’t smart enough to put the little Debbies down?!

The real question is why is JZ always the standard for whenever anybody is talking about lyrical skill? Lets be clear, the standard for lyrical ability in our culture should be Nas!! Oh i get it, jz is a billionaire so that automatically makes him more lyrically talented than everybody else. This is the mentally of the hip hop culture!!

Claudette Colvin is her name. In fact it was her case that led to the desegregation in the state of Alabama. But to give it context, the NAACP didn't have a ton of funds to fight these civil rights cases in the court. Losses in court could put countless lives in jeopardy. And in a Jim Crow era where the courts were run by white supremacist, you had to run a tight ship. And in that time there was still a strong negative stigma attached to a widowed woman. So yes there were politics but the circumstances and climate surrounding these events and moments play a role in how it played out. These local black histories need more visiblity because IMO it would show that the Civil Rights Movement had been fought and going on since Reconstruction not at the apex of the 1960s. This was a 100 year long (and still going) struggle. But without struggle there is no progres.

How can Hip Hop be a young person sport when itd only 50 something years old on PAPER!! The originators are solidified in history, what ima learn from a 20 year old right now? They need to catch up

That was a lovely breakdown of how Nicki Minaj is probably dealing with the other female rappers. Thank you for that breakdown. I was just cursing her out before you said that because I thought she just doesn't like women. Any woman is a threat to her and it shows insecurity.

The problem with these podcasts are they don't want the guest to shine. This was a horrible show let alone they would interrupt LJ and at moments at he would be sitting there. I stopped watching it 20 minutes into the show. That happens alot with Charleston White too..

Lord Jamar, you've been avoiding addressing the entitled rant that Vlad's bern on lately. You need to address it, since YOU were first valid Hip Hop head to validate him. We trusted him because we believed and trusted that you vetted him well, so step TF UP AND ADDRESS THAT DEVIL.....DON'T RUN....GOD!!!!!!
