The Bleeding Hollow clan once stood on the verge of extinction. To escape death, Kilrogg Deadeye first needed to embrace it. Take your place on the front lines of the battle for Draenor 11.13.14. For more information, visit Warlords.com
I love the fact that his father had no hate or anger towards kilrogg, he was happy, knowing his clan would no longer be afraid or weak. gotta love that kind of leader.
Notice also the way his father says every chieftain must make 'hard' choices for the good of the clan, the way he emphasizes it, he knew what was coming and sent him on his way.
"Every Chieftain must make hard choices for the good of the clan." I love this storyline for the simple fact that it makes you wonder who made the harder choice. Kilrogg in killing his own father, or his father... knowing that his own son would end him, but choosing to let it happen.
This vid shows that the ritual only shows the vision of their death which may not be clear. If you watch closely the father is surprised of his death, it probably means he saw himself being assasinated close up, but not by whom. So it is likely he never knew his son would be the killer. Such as killrog sees himself being killed in a battle of two armies, he may not know what horde and alliance are and so he'll walk to his death. Perhaps this is the quirk of the vision, it shows you the manner of our death ion misty clues, but not a clear-cut comprehensive prediction.
@@Galejro Kilrogg saw that he would die in the Auchindoun, so before he batltled Danath Trollbane's forces in the Auchindoun during the Beyond the Dark Portal expansion of Warcraft 2, he sensed his own death.
It comes down to their philosophy, they know their visions will happen no matter what so they learn to accept it instead of trying to change it. The benefit of this is never being afraid of dying because you know exactly how and when it will happen.
@Hydra To be fair to the Warlords they got killed by the elite champions of Azeroth who have fought and defeated world-ending threats time and time again.
Norberto Topete Lok'tar ogar! Victory or death - it is these words that bind me to the Horde. For they are the most sacred and fundamental of truths to any warrior of the Horde. I give my flesh and blood freely to the Warchief. I am the instrument of my Warchief's desire. I am a weapon of my Warchief's command. From this moment until the end of days I live and die - FOR THE HORDE!
Sebastien Faubert For the Horde fellow warrior! The Horde shall rule Azeroth! There is no victory if we don't fight with courage and honor. Lok'tar ogar!
It's such a shame warlords wasn't a very good expansion. The lord's of war series really set up the whole thing to be amazing yet didn't pan out. I'm glad we have these short stories, it really makes up for it.
It's interesting how Kilrogg's story is similar to a Norse myth. See, Odin was becoming paranoid in Asgard, so he left for Mimisbrunnr, a sacred well in one of the roots of Yggdrasil, to drink from it's mystic waters. Mimir guarded the well alongside the Norns, for one can only drink from the waters if he sacrifices something... Mimir demanded Odin's eye, and so Odin drank from the well and saw Ragnarok: the doom of the gods! And that's how he chained Fenrir, banished Hel, bound Jormungand to Midgard, punished Loki and his warg sons: Skoll and Hatinto chase the (Sol) sun and (Mani) moon forever until Ragnarok... where everyone dies except a select few (Thor's two sons, Vidarr, Baldr, and some Vanir)
I like Maraad didn't even really answer the King's question. "What steels the iron horde in it's darkest hours?" WELL WRYNN LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT KILROGG DEADEYE
Gabriel Dasaro Not even close to the extent the question should have been answered? And Wrynn asked about the Iron Horde as a whole, not one specific clan, and then a big ass rant about one specific guy.
I am rather glad for this series. I knew about all these orc clans from BC but not their backstory (Shattered Hand, Bleeding Hollow) because I have never been able to acquire Warcraft 1 and 2. It's a nice filler in for people who have only played WoW too.
Tucker Rotz awk stop being that 'Oh I done everything before it was cool' guy, just because some of us joined WoW in WOTLK doesn't mean you like the game or lore anymore than us later comers do.
Tucker Rotz It's not that they haven't wanted to, it could be because the first two Warcraft Games aren't compatible with their computers that they couldn't play them. I know, I got them off of eBay and tried to install them, and they wouldn't go on. At Blizzcon last year, I think a fan asked that question, and they said that eventually they will put out the first two Warcraft games, but not for the foreseeable future, because right now their whole focus is on Warlords of Draenor. But I do have Warcraft III, and I still play it every now and then.
If WoW was as badass as presented in these videos, it would be awesome. Dark nights, blowing winds, sweet graphics. Details, details... WoW needs details.
What happens when a spell misses? Shouldn't it hit a wall for an example? Or how about some decals on the characters? Dripping blood from bleed effects, frozen effects for freezing magic, and burning the fur of beasts and the like with fire? Realistic cloak physics? Some oomph for flying a dragon instead of turning around as fast as your mouse sensitivity allows? I speak of more dynamic graphical (PhysX effects anyone?) and gameplay details. Things that would make us think "WoW feels cooler than ever." And then I might not always have to think that my PC is overkill for WoW.
OH that fucking laugh is beautiful, that laugh of like zero fear in the face of death. In my honest opinion, WoW lore wise has the best orcs hands down.
I'm one of the few people who is openly happy about this theme... The chance to fight against these Warlords, who fellow veterens of Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness will recognize... it's gunna be a good fight!
Here you go again Blizz, proving once again that great storytelling trumps juicy cinematics! Way to go guys! This is some amazing stuff. Looking forward to more!
I want to think that i was neccesary that someone drinks the blood but not Grommash. When he took the drink, he freed Grommash. In some way, killrog saved Grommash
Varian: Don't lecture me! The only thing that got my people through those dark days was their faith in the Light! Me: So, Anduin Lothar had nothing to do with it?
As we have learned after anduin lothar's death the light even came to Turalyon (who had doubted the light) who was able to decimate the horde's forces. The light has come in handy in tough situations. :)
It's the standard. Most players fight, die, sleep, fish, swim, fly on mounts and romp through the countryside in full armor. As a King he has to be respectable to his people.
Well for his defence which I really don't like doing that much his dad was killed by his best friend when he didn't wear any armour.garona slew him when he least expected a y violence which led not only to his death but death of countless knights of storm wind so yeah better learn from the past than u know be stupid.but still Varian didn't learn everything from the mistakes of his dad and friends but kept making them again and again .
I am certainly happy about this story. Kilrogg has a little more depth than the average orc. Out of desperation, he kills his father to take the Bleeding Hollow Clan under his wing, but he was troubled to make this hard choice.
From what I can tell from this I can tell Kilrogg will be a very important character in WoW lore; I'll put anything on it. The association with the Arakkoa (who tried to summon an Old God to Outland all the way back in BC) and this Arthas-like video just solidifies for me the importance of the Dead Eye and Kilrogg.
So basically Killrog’s father deliberately chose to rule like an oyster, just to make his caring son so pissed he’d just stab him and start actually doing his father’s job, confirming his death vision in the process. Kinda reminds me of these players who tag for random dungeon, don’t like the dungeon they end up in and just act like jerks to get kicked instead of taking their Deserter debuff.
Kilrogg was an exception when it came to his vision, seeing much more than the moment of his death. His father probably only saw the moment his son stabbed him, perhaps less if all he saw was a bit of the shoulder of his murderer.
Bah, he was ok back in the day of Cata, now hes just like our green jesus Thrall. I want true, IRON horde to vanguish the alliance and petty troll horde. And i want Zuljin back. Hes one troll to follow. He will bring the Horde to glory! Rejoice with AMANI!! Burn the blood elves, they were not in Horde in the first invasion!!! For the Dark Horde, Twilights Hammer, Syndicate, the 7th Legion, Scarlet Crusade, Yogg-Saron, AND THE LK!!!! (And for Gilneas Liberation Front too, awesome guys)
Heh by the time the original Horde was formed, Kilrogg was very old already. Plus he didn't die in a glorious battle against Ogres, he died in a one on one fight with Danath.
He didnt die from ogres in this either, if you look the two banners on the edges of the battleground in his death scene are those of the alliance and the horde.
HaloSwordKing I know, Markus was talking about how the original Kargath didn't die to Ogres, and I explained that neither did this one from what I saw.
Yep. I think it happened when Kilrogg was buying Ner'zhul time to escape from the Alliance forces. I completely forgot the fact that this was an alternative timeline and so much would be very different.
I know that we are going to be fighting the Iron Horde in WoD. But the more of these they release the more I want to join the Iron Horde. This series is EPIC!!!!!
Which is not a bad thing. Carbine didn't spend much on advertisement and they ended up with a small initial audience simply because not much ppl know their game exists
VKGchaos you know there are separate division in a company, right ? like the one that are making these cinematics are not same as the one who are designing the game.
When i saw the wallpaper with all the warlords, i thought Killrog is completely non-intimidating and unimportant compared to others. Blackhand- a huge orc with epic hammer. Grommash- a legend. Ner'zhul- future Lich King. Kargath- the shattered hand clan of fel orcs in Outland. Durotan- Thrall's cool dad. Gul'dan- the evil warlock who deceived everybody. And then there is Killrog who is like "RAAAWG IMMA HIT U WITH MY POINTY STICK"
When you consider that Killrog supposedly _knows_ how he will die it makes sense. It is strange that his father asked why the vision troubles his son if he had seen that his son would kill him.
Interesting, I actually didn't think Kilrogg was going to be part of the Lords of War mini series. Wasn't it suppose to be only a 5 part series? Figured it would have covered Grom, Durotan, Kargath, Blackhand and Ner'Zhul ( or Gul'dan despite him being a captive, he has major importance in Warcraft)
