Honestly form what i heard about general Radan that he fought Melania while holding down stars and etc... Leonard getting his own healthbar was a great idea! Phase 2 looks like Radahn has too little openings, but with the summons and Torrent still there, it seems like it'll balance out.

I mean. The mod maker also made Unalloyed Malenia.... I don't think they care about balance. They're like a type of Mugen character maker.... They make their characters super flashy, and EXTREMELY OP for style....

I think his opening limit is about the same as the Storm King in DS3. Guy was rocking the whole battlefield almost 90% of the fight and another 5% flying around until you get him off his high horse. Maybe implement a bar stoppage limit, so that he can keep the same health bar as when he is off and on Leonard. Makes him cloth like maliketh in that sense, though you don't have to implement an entire cutscene for him.

Something i always adored as an idea to make Radahn cooler was: 1. Radahn's cut leap animation being used to reset his bow phase 2. Radahn using Gravity Magic to close the space between you and him This mod not only entertained both of those ideas, but somehow made it EVEN COOLER Hats off to the person who made this mod. You are a godsend

It's perfect... it's exactly what I had imagined when thinking about a Radahn in his prime, an extreme combat where he uses all the powers of gravity at high speed in combination with his bow and meteor. It's just amazing.

I like the idea that you have to pick your shots with Radahn as to not kill Leonard first. It’s really cool that you get punished for killing Leonard before Radahn, because he just goes batshit insane. I could see this rewarding bow and some magic builds more. I see a lot of people complaining about how unfair the fight is, but if you look at phase 2, you can see the very obvious openings that Radahn rewards you with after dealing with the onslaught. Additionally, Radahn's damage from phase 1 carries over, so it gives you an even greater edge by doing more damage to Radahn first before Leonard (if your build doesn't allow you to target select in phase 1 as well).

Radahn will still send her packing. He is by far my favorite lore wise. He stopped the very stars. He showed kindness and loyalty to his faithful companion leonard. Royalty by lineage, warrior by choice. GENERAL RADAHN

My first instinct is to assume Unalloyed Malenia clears based on area scaling differences, same as the vanilla match up. This probably remains true, especially since Unalloyed Malenia's goddess phases have periods of time where she's not present to be attacked. That said, with Vanilla+ Radahn being able to reposition in first phase back to a ranged game and his star phase having his meteor crash be a common combo move rather than a phase transition, this could actually be a close fight. If the AI of Vanilla+ Radahn uses the first phase's mobility and ranged options well or spams meteor crash in second phase, I could see Unalloyed Malenia getting trounced pretty handedly. Also, Vanilla +Radahn being defended against Scarlet Rot by his Great Rune could be interesting.

@@e.v4892 I think with the way Unalloyed Malenia is programmed, she won’t do the passive edge walk slowly and actually consistently dash and run towards him while dodging his projectiles-not that she still won’t get hit and his repositioning wouldn’t be a giant advantage against her, but it removes how in any Malenia vs Radahn AI fights, Malenia was not programmed to deal with Radahn’s arrow phase and so Modders had to put her right next to him and remove that part of his fight.

I like this as a prime radahn take, it doesnt feel super ridiculous just for the sake of it. He has acess to the rest of the gravity abilites shown in game by other enemies, and fights faster and more strategically, yknow like someone whos mind is intact. He doesnt even need his stats that beefed up to be a reasonable contender for most powerful demigod

This right there, is pure gold. For a long time already, I've been searching for mods depicting "lore accurate" versions of the bosses we fought (actually, "prime" versions). After unalloyed Malenia, here comes "Lore accurate Radahn". I hope we'll get to see Radagon in his prime too. Anyway, thanks a lot for covering this.

The wacky thing is that it is pretty likely that radahn at his peak power could be able to do this and more, being able to stop the rotation of stars and i mean the cosmic bodies not astel types of celestial beasts can imply that radahn straight up deadass could be able to turn the entire planet of the lands between from the inside out with it's power, could to a degree create temporal effects on battle even aging or time reversal, literally crushing anything with enough mass like a mountain range to the size of a sand grain to make a black hole Radahn is if wandering about far more terrifying and lovecraftian in it's potential destruction than malenia or even maliketh

Just looking at this is giving me a heart attack. The ranged attacks with the teleports pretty much makes it impossible to actually hurt him until he wants you to, with some of his massive aoe moves also not having that much of a telegraph meaning you better be running until you are allowed to hurt him.

The lore in my head for why a fully formed Astel just pops up at the start of phase two, is the death of his beloved horse Leonard causes him to loose just enough focus on the stars for him to break through. Only for Radahn to lock in and show why HE is the Conquer of the Stars... by slaying basically a Star in one strike right in front of our face.

He has plenty of openings. Rewatch the fight and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about. He quite literally has an attack where he just stands there launching meteors, and if you’re close enough, it’s inarguably free damage.

I like to imagine he could easily revive leonard, but is still pissed about you killing him, so thats why he laughs tauntingly the entire time, enjoying the battle and watching you struggle.
