The game even has camera parameters for every enemy in LockCamParam, but they're barely ever used. It's a mystery why From insists on placing the camera close to you when you fight big bosses, forcing you to stare at their ankles the entire time.
Sekiro actually did a pretty good job of this, but they couldn't take any cues from it for ER because they were being "developed concurrently" (even though they came out 3 years apart (i call bs))
I always think this when playing bloodborne. Sometimes the camera pans out a ton if your view is obscured by the beast or environment, and I think it looked great
I mean it makes sense. The guy was the whole package. A huge strong warrior, a brilliant wizard, and an eagle-eyed archer. A paragon. When the player fights him, he's a brutish mindless zombie of himself who only acts on aggressive instinct... but in life Radahn must have been cunning and a master of strategy.
I really wish the actual fight would've been this chaotic. It's honestly kina disappointing that the fight wasn't harder and that he didn't he have more movesets like his teleportation.
@@trustmeits610pm2 It's also theorized that, before the shattering, Radahn and his Armies would tirelessly eliminate dragons or things the same size as those around Caelid. This is supported by the fact how the Redmane Knights would mostly utilize weapon arts like Giant Hunt and Radahn's Rain when going against you even though these skills would be of better use against much larger targets. So yeah. Guy was just an unstoppable powerhouse in his prime.
1. Leonard deserves his own health bar, that's an absolute W 2. Using Scarlet Aeonia on Radahn is such BM 🤣 And 3. Radahn straight up killing Astel was so cool!
At first I was thinking: “ok, just a mod with two healthbars and some variation in the moves” The you killed leonard and I was like “ok, there come the meteor… WAIT WHAT!? ASTEL!?” And then “WTF RAHDAN?!?!?”
Fun fact: This Astel comet animation actually exists in the game files but is never used. It's speculated that the hail of comets triggered by Radahn's death originally also sent down Astel as the final phase in the Radahn fight but was cut before release.
@SaHaRaSquad i heard a bit about that but seeing it in action is impressive. Anyways im glad they cut astel as the final phase, it would have been a nightmare specially with pre patch Rahdan
@awhellnah__ a nerf is tweaking the stats, in essence their numbers. What the fix did, and it was a fix, was make his weapons' hitboxes actually accurate instead of much larger than they would appear. His damage, health, and everything else is still the same, but now his attacks actually reflect their animations instead of going out much further.
@muamua101 HAHA, he only lost because she got help from a God akin to the Elden Beast. And still couldnt kill him. Basically Handicapped Radhan (Holding Back Stars) = A Demigod + God.
Originally, through deep dives of the files, people found that it was likely planned for Astel to replace Radahn in his second phase. As if the Fallingstar beasts were the reason he was holding back the stars.
Counter argument, Leonard without his own HP bar shows how much of a beast he is to share hit points with a Demi-god, and no matter how the fight goes they both fight their hardest until the very end where they go out together like best friends should.
I love that the pace of this fights allows for the entire soundtrack to play out! Probably my favorite boss music ever. Rise of the Ronin soon? Game has some wicked style potential!
Dang! VPN might work like the other comment mentioned. Sony should just make this happen as it's basically advertising for them showcasing what the highest level gameplay looks like. Thanks for the great content regardless!
@@ledero5Rise of the Ronin isn’t unavailable in Korea because Sony isn’t selling it there, it’s unavailable because the Korean government specifically banned it. Long story short, one of the lead devs of the game said they were inspired by Yoshida Shoin, who was a 19th century Japanese thinker who advocated for Seikanron, which advocated for the Japanese invasion of Korea. It’s a touchy part of history.
I dont think I ever played a game with this level of artistic stylisation, fidelity and sound design. It's insane. I've just recently beat sekiro which was just as refined. ER takes it up a notch. Hopefully I see more of this with Bloodborne and the rest.
Lol what? Malenia's only disadvantage against Radahn was her arm. Her body was fine everywhere else. And I'd hardly call her sword arm a disadvantage. Full power Radahn without the task of holding stars in orbit would smash her. @@antohan1496
The added special effects and attacks are cool, like his weapon buff and the meteor storm at the end, and I like the introduction of Astel midway through the fight, but I’m pretty sure it’s not “lore accurate” that he can just fucking teleport. He knows gravity magic. He’s not some sort of cosmic sorcerer that jumps through wormholes all day. It’s just a workaround for him not having a walking animation. Even so, it still looks sick. Wish he was harder in the vanilla game
The second phase of radahn beeing astel was actually originally planned by fromsoft, you can still find the astel meteor crash in the game files! Zullie the witch made a nice video about it
what if Radhan dragged astel down with him instead of just astel coming down. Like jumping up to the stars to grab and drag down to earth an abomination of the stars to fight with him
