This guy is missing a major development of Ace Combat 7 modding. You can add custom planes. Not planes that replace existing planes, entirely new ones. Planes like the F-117, EA-6B, and all kinds of silly Strangereal future planes. The process is really fiddly right now, but you can already use a vast arsenal of new content.

If you like this, try Project Wingman. It’s AC7 but O R A N G E with more drug-fueled insane combat and generally a lot more fun.

i can tell you right now. if the military, any branch, would let their soldiers customize their vehicles in anyway they want. half of them would just be anime.

The combined load of 43 (I think) missiles would weigh about 34,228 pounds; combined with the empty weight of the aircraft gives 66,309 pounds. The maximum takeoff weight of an F/A-18F is about 66,000 pounds. Even without the fuel it's 309 pounds past what it could actually fly with. [EDIT] nevermind there's actually like 48 missiles on it, this thing's cruising altitude is "runway overrun"

Yes the F-22A isn’t designed for carrier use, hence why they make non carrier planes run the whole length of the carrier instead of catapulting.

5:42 I did some math, and assuming those are AGM-88 missiles, it would be over maximum takeoff weight with 56 of them, like shown there. But putting that down to 30 missiles (2 pods under the fuselage and 4 under each wing, instead of 6 pods under the fuselage and each wing like in the game) would leave it enough to fill about 46% of it's fuel capacity and stay under its max takeoff weight. So no, it wouldn't be able to take off with that many missiles attached to it. But cut the missiles in half and it's fine. Or give it some RATO boosters and it should work.

A blend of realism is not what I would have thought to hear when describing Ace. Combat. 💀

The missiles remind me of the AC 6 Idolmaster planes. Dunno if you were around the AC games back then (I've been playing since the PS1 days) but in AC6, they had DLC planes and when you equipped them, it'd change the characteristics from the standard plane, and each missile would have different color smoke.

Those are definitely some very.....sophisticated mods.

I like using anime girl skins, it makes me feel like I'm playing some sort of absurd Macross prequel. The fighter squadron is sponsored by an idol group, and so the planes are covered in advertising. Plus I feel like if people were allowed to paint F-22's, they'd look like the last skin you showed.
