We talk about the epic story of Helm Hammerhand, 9th King of Rohan and teh War of the Rohirrim against the Dunlendings. Before we start with that we also look into how Thorin Oakenshield's grandfather Thrór re-established Erebor, the Lonely Mountain, as the new kingdom of the Dwarves. We also talk abit about Saruman and connect those events to Elrond, as this is part 9 of my Who is Elrond Lore series.

Update: timespamps are added. I hope you enjoy the video and that ic ould bring some new insights to people familiar with the lore, connecting a few dots here and there and esp. looking at the role of the Dunlendings and Freca. Thank you ^^ I really tried to ooze out some information that is not that widely known and connect the events with each other a bit (and oc with Elrond). i think the connection to Saruman in that story is really interesting. So far I can't complain, but I feel it's still a lot of work to do this year ^^ Next year I maybe find time for a vacation. Hope you had a great start into the Christmas season as well!

Several other Tolkien and world history RU-vidrs are based there ( and I can then make the 3 hour trip to buy you dinner). You have always been gracious about reference material. I wonder if you would consider your opening statements to include a list of references prior to starting you study. Something like --" Hullo boys and girls, please take out your RotK and turn to the appendices. Also your Sil, your UT, your Hobbit, Letters, your K. Fonstad map book, several snacks, and a large beverage of choice." !!! No need to feel any guilt or debt. You watch my videos and write comment (I assume you press the like button as well ^^). That is more than enough. If you don't use ad blocker and let the pre-roll or post-roll ads run for 30 seconds each (or at least one of them), you've done more than enough 😂 in case you have YT Premium even better. Youre mistaken this isnt about Helm, its about some random character, Hera that the writers have randomly pulled out of their asses... Oh and did i mention her girl power? Thats right, shes gonna lead a rebellion and learn to be a queen that dont need no king!
