Luke and Lorelai's chemistry has been so awesome since episode 1!! They had to be end game since the very beginning. He always does EVERYTHING he can to make her the happiest person ❤️❤️❤️
They had chemistry as friends who argued and flirted, but as a couple they had no chemistry , were boring. Luke treated her like crap, after they got together as a couple, he told her he was all in. Then blames her for Chris and Emily trying tonbreak them up at Emily and Richards vow renewal, leaves Lorelai to get a cab home. Breaks up with her in Dooses. Then later after got back together, he humilates her in front of Sookie and Jackson after walking in on her cutting off Chris's message, then tells her they have to be honest about everything, but forgot that only apllied for Lorelai, nit Luke, cause he lied like a dog for months abiut April, then forbids her to talk to April or Anna. Then at Marthas Vineyards whines and complains about Logan then takes necklace from Logan cause he was to cheap to buy Lorelai a Valentine gift, then lies to her and says he bought it. Yeah so much for treating her good. He was a jerk.
IK THAT MADE ME SO MAD I also just thought it was unrealistic how much problems they had because they loved each other so much even before they were together that no way they would have let little things get in the way

Even though I don't feel like the acting was on-point there, at times it came of really speechy, it always hits when he says voice guivering that he had to 'watch you marry that guy'.
Luke: "...then there was Christopher and I had to watch you marry that guy and IT WAS AWFUL!" Everybody: "Yes, Luke. It WAS. It was awful for us fans too."
Plus he's always been the dad to Rory Christopher never was.. Luke has always been there to Lorelai but also to Rory, he really care about her and did everything to keep her safe and happy!! It would have been great to see how he would've been as a dad with a baby with Lorelai...
Loved them together and I liked their slow build to a relationship but they totally screwed them over and I wish they'd handled the April situation better and had more scenes in s7. A wedding in s7 would have been great. I loved the dream lorelai had and how she named one leopold! Their bickering and banter, as well as growth throughout the seasons was one of my fav parts to them, as well as Luke's devotion to Rory - he was there for her and the mattress debacle will stay one of my fav scenes. I don't remember much of AYITL. I also loved their dance/date at Liz's wedding.
This entire video was so well done, the scene overlaps, the story progression, the audio clips at the exact right times, the music. I hope you are somewhere getting paid well for this level of editing. This is my favorite love story ❤
April doesn't deserve to go through what Rory went through so for April's sake, Rory's sake and everyone's sanity. I do believe that Luke needs to take care of April tbh. He was willing to be Rory's dad but he wouldn't be there for April when he learned how to be a parent through Jess
Lorelai was correct, when she said they had to figure out how April would fit into their lives, not the other way around. Luke handled the issue with April all wrong. He should have taken Lorelai over to meet Anna, right away, so she could get to know Lorelai. He would have been able to take care of April, while being married to Lorelai. I think Lorelai would have accepted her into her life, very easily.
Lorelai never had an awful meltdown with any of her breakups like she did with Luke & thats where it showed she was really happy & in love with him. Also, he was the only man she proposed. 🌻🥲
And honestly despite the fact Luke and Lorelai have the best chemistry the only reason why we love him is because back then the childhood friends turned sweethearts thing was popular but it wouldn't work in today's society
Like and Lorelai made a great couple. He never did anything to Lorelai or hurted her. He never once tried to control her or made her fell bad on her decision. She didn't have chemistry with Max, Chris or Jason. They never understood her like Like did.
Being a huge number one gilmore girls fan , I think that luke and lorelai are a wonderful couple , luke was made to be Roary s father not anyone else , luke and lorelai belong together .
I hated that Loralie expected Luke to wait until everything was figured out with Rory before they could get married but she couldn't give him the same courtesy with April.
Chris was just a phase and honestly he's still not mature enough for Lorelai and Luke was always just her childhood love. She should have picked Max. Max gave her a big opportunity of a good future and secured Rory's life. And it doesn't ruin Jess and Rory.
You haven't watched much Gilmore Girls, have you? Luke wasn't a childhood love for Lorelai. And in reference to your other comment, Christopher was never an amazing father. He was absent throughout most of Rory's childhood. Luke was always there for Rory and Lorelai both. Max was a good guy, but Lorelai didn't really love him. Nothing will ever last if there's not real genuine love.
1. Chris had Lorelai was childhood love and Rory' parents. Luke and Lorelai lives in Stars Hallow and where soulmates. 2. Max never gave then a future or securities that was Luke. You need to rewatch the show cause you got the characters mixed up.
L, her way of being is 80's. She joined, betrayed, left both to survive the pain m betrayal by everyone she trusted. This show should not exist. L, is strong, and independent, and not close to anyone on this show.
in the episode where she chose yale it had the most pros on her pro con list, but probably show wise so they could have friday night dinner still and have lorelai and rory see each other
I don't think it's right that Luke lied about April because even if Luke was there for Rory he lied to Lorelai about having a daughter. Max would have never done that
This is really like and Laura's love story than it becomes Rory and dean's than Rory and Jess. And better yet Rory and Logan. They should have been together forever living in stars hollow close to or even next to Luke and Laura so they could babysit for Rory and Logan,while Logan worked and made the money for him ,Roy and their baby. And Luke and Laura lie could run the restaurant when Laura isn't babysitting for Rory and Logan They would be the perfect family.
It just never clicked for me the Luke and Lorelai . Idk .. she was more herself with chris .. Jason..Lorelai always carried that upperclass vibe.. it's like she would try to bury it but it would always surface ..

@@lauriecarson6483 I'm absolutely right. She thought, for no reason, she was too good for Chris and has strung him along for most of their lives giving him false hope. She pretty much left Max at the alter and abandoned him in an utterly childish, cowardly way. She went off and slept with Chris the same night she argued with Luke because she had a stroppy, teenage-style tantrum. I'm pleased Kirk didn't ever get to date her because he deserves better than that narcissist too. Rory isn't any better. Treated Dean like absolute shit. Jess acted like a tool because he was messed up but he definitely ends up deserving better than Rory. Rory is exactly where she should be in the latest series of 4 they released, she's Logan's side-chick.

I'm sorry but I like her better with Max. Luke and Lorelai can't stay together cuz then Rory can never be with Jess. I know that sounds harsh but Rory and Jess need to be together again. But Lorelai can't end up with Luke. I know we all love them but Rory and Jess would be related 😔
Luke and Lorelai should never have been together as a couple. As friends who bicketed and flirted, they had great chemistry, but as a couple, they were boring, no chemistry, tension. Luke when came to Lorelai and others he had different standards for Lorelai. Like after Christopher called, he accused Lorelai of talking to Christopher before, Not giving Lorelai a chance to explain, then humiliates her in front of Sookie and Jackson, then tells Lorelai they have to be completely honest about their relationship. Then he doesn't tell her about April, doesn't want her to becpart of April's life ,then gets Lorelai to postpone wedding infedinately. Also when he was dating Niicole, she could use cell phone in the diner, but even Lorelai as his finances, he would still tell her the rules applied about not using cell phone in diner. Would have been so much better, if had just left them as friends.
I will never forgive the writers for how they ruined this couple. Yes, ruined. Everything was leading them up to getting married & having more kids. "But we see them get married in AYITL". It wasnt the wedding that we deserved & they never had kids when they wanted to.
Completely agree. I thoroughly despised the Lorelai sleeping with/marry Christopher storyline. I even wished it was a dream sequence ala Dallas. The icing on the sh*tty cake was the fact that they *still* weren't married by the start of AYITL.
