i’m a new ish hearthstone player and i love watching toast, but sometimes the decisions he makes early game get me confused. in the beginning around 1:50 he played a combo card which does 2 damage when comboed. however, he didnt save that card and decided to play it right away without waiting to play it and taking advantage of its combo. why?
sometimes gaining tempo is more important than getting %100 from a card. say you have a 2/3 that destroys opponents weapon, but enemy doesnt have a weapon. you could still use it to trade or hit face.
He saps Ysera to force the opponent to play it again for 9 mana at least 3 turns later and protect his minions (big tempo gain), and make it harder for Ysera enter the opponent's resurrection pool
