He gave her his kidney and then he gave her this surprise. I'm speechless. That guy is a KEEPER.

Okay, can’t we all agree that the bride is just STUNNING. Both her personality and looks!

My heart is melting y’all. Like he did ALL of this. He gave her his kidney before they were even married. Brought her friends and mom. He will figuratively and literally always be a part of her. 🥺

He did not give her his kidney since they were not compatible. So, while she spent 2 years on dialysis, Kevin worked through a kidney exchange program to find the best suitable match, where he donated his kidney to X family, who in return donated to Y family and so on. About 10 families were involved, and Alyssa then received a kidney that her body was compatible with. Her surgery took place months before his, which is why here she's healthy and he's weak. The fact that he went to such lengths to keep the love of his life healthy, shows how pure their love is❤️

She’s why being an organ donor is so important. Many wonderful people like her die everyday waiting for an organ to become available.

She could have picked a potato sack and we'd all still be crying for her.

I have kidney failure and I am currently on dialysis. This episode touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much Lori and Monty!

When I was 14 my dad died from heart failure. During the darkest time of my life the doctors came to my family and asked us if we would donate his organs. At first my mom was like, “how dare you come to us 30 minutes after I told them I would sign the papers to take him off life support, as ask us to wait another two days to donate his organs?” But then she paused and apologized remembering my dad’s friend who’s wife needed a heart and kidney transplant. She got hope that maybe we could donate his organs to her. She asked each of the four kids and his mom if we could donate his organs. We agreed. He saved four or five lives with his kidneys, liver, and i don’t remember the other organs. We then donated tissues, veins, muscles, and anything else to help people. Sadly he wasn’t compatible with his friend’s wife. But why we lost an amazing person, he saved other amazing people. He allowed a woman to meet her grandkids. He saved a mom and a father. A son. He improved others lives. This episode hit close to home. I saw this a while ago. But watching it again once I worked through the pain and I’ve grown up. This impacts me so much. I’m now 19 and I am hoping to get engaged soon with my partner of 3 almost 4 years. I don’t have. H dad here to walk me down the isle. He won’t see my kids or be here to hold me through my health decline. I have gastroparesis, cerebral play, sever allergic reactions, and more. Hold on to those you love. And stay strong. Everyone deserves this day. And please consider donating.

I think Lori and Monty just have good hearts too. Then the hospital being so open to accommodate because any hospital can say no, even to a show. That is such a special moment for her.

This woman is so pure. Just so absolutely pure. Some brides look at "their" perfect dress when it gets on, and say "I feel like a bride" or "this is perfect" or something else. Which is normal, and perfectly acceptable. She looked at herself in the mirror with her perfect dress and said, "I'm getting married!" which seems to me like more of a true love kind of thing to say. Her perfect dress, to her, means she is marrying her true love. While others feel like the princess they never felt like before (which, again, is completely normal). I just think she is super sweet and I hope she's happy forever.

SYTTD Atlanta is at is best when Lori and Monty are on the road surprising amazing people who are having a horrible time and helping them having this moment of joy and happiness. That's way better than all the drama and horrible people. More beautiful moments like these please

i watched my dad go through kidney failure and during this, we lost my mom to depression a year and a half ago. we’re nearing the one year mark of my dad receiving his new kidney from my mom’s life long best friend. this episode really touched my heart. sitting here with tears in my eyes even 5 minutes after the video ended. i wish this couple a lifetime of health, love and happiness

I had watery eyes the whole way through... The world is so much richer for a person like her, and her boyfriend is a treasure, too. They truly deserve each other in the best way possible.

What an amazing husband he will be. The hard work he put in to getting the dress shop going to the hospital when he was going through the process of a new kidney and all he decided that he was going to surprise her and boy did he. That shows how much he truly loves her. I wish them well.
